Pull out method isn't the best form of contraceptive... But surely I'm not pregnant?

Hi, so DP have been discussing TTC dc2 which we put a rough start time for a couple months away. I think because we know we will be starting TTC soon we have been a bit risky this month and used the pull out method twice, over my fertile days.
Today I'm about 7-9 dpo and started with some nausea and having some random small pains in lower abdomen too. I feel this could be a bit psychosomatic as babys are more on the brain now and we are usually very sensible and don't take risks such as this. And when I say risk... it's not really as we would be delighted if we were pregnant... It's only a couple months earlier than 'the plan' ha!
Love to hear anyone's experiences or if anyone is in the same boat?

My niece was conceived this way! She will be 6 next week. It's very possible you are pregnant!

Pull out method is not reliable at all.
Semen is still present in pre-cum so it's quite possible to conceive, especially if you have no fertility issues.Test in 2-3 days.

Yea I heard the pre cum was pretty strong with swimmers.... so yes op. Big possibility!!!

Yes, very much a possibility!

Thanks guys, in my logical brain im thinking the same... But the other part of my brains like naaah can't be ha. Im going to wait to see if AF is late and then il do a test. I also started taking some vitamins (just now) just in case too.
No matter what the outcome I don't think il ever use this method unless happy for a baby to come along haha!

I dunno. We have used this method for years and years and the only times I’ve become pregnant are the two occasions when we have actually tried to conceive. Both times in the first month of trying.

That said, for us it would be fine if it did happen. Perhaps if we felt more strongly about it we would try a little harder.

Used the pull out method for years and never had any surprises. I've done a lot of research on the whole "sperm in precum" thing and it's actually quite mixed. Some research has found some sperm present and other research has found none. I appreciate some men have more precum than others and so there might be higher chances of more sperm present in large amounts of precum.

Yes happened to me. Withdrawal only once and also took morning after pill... Still got pregnant!

Yeah it seems to be a mixed bag of people who have got pregnant with pull out and those who have never had any surprises after years or it. Il see how I go. Feel a bit nauseous again today but it is warm and humid and sometimes that can make you a bit sick... Time will tell.
