Positive opk 10 days after mmc (medical intervention)

Hey, so I'm abit confused to say the least.
I took medical management for my mmc on 2nd June the bleeding started within hours and I believe all the tissue passed between that Wednesday and the Saturday. Bleeding finally stopped 7 days after taking the medication so this Wednesday. I counting day 1 of MM as cd1 so started taking clear blue opk advanced on cd10 to which my surprise was a static smiley. I never get anything on a opk until
About cd13 then positive around cd16-18.
Confused I started to google and apparently these tests pick up hcg if it's strong so then my heart sank that my body still has a fairly high hcg level... then took pg test and sure enough still a glowing positive even though I'm not actively pregnant anymore... talk about a kick in the teeth.

I was aware that taking a pg test it would still show positive but I expected it to be faint or fading not a strong reading! So clearly it must be super high still to make opk say static smiley.

Has this happened to anyone? Is it likely I might actually be ovulating?

I’m so sorry for your loss. I think you need to take some time for your body to get back on track and your hormones to settle. It’s still pretty soon after your loss. I would give it a week and then test again and seek advice from gp if pg test still positive. Good luck x

Sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing as well as you can.

Unfortunately 10 days is still very early, so I wouldn’t worry about the positive test just yet.

If still positive after 3 weeks then contact your EPAU to check for retained product.

Thank you both of you ❤️ Do you think the positive opk is picking up the hcg instead of LH?

@dano99 it's certainly possible yes...

If your pregnancy tests are still positive then the positive OPK will also be from the HCG in your system.

It is highly unlikely you are ovulating. Sorry!
