How long for HCG to go out of system after very early miscarriage?

I am wondering how soon I can do another pregnancy test to see if I have had a miscarriage or not. I am only 3 weeks along. Been bleeding for 7 days now.

I rang the EPU and they have said to take another test in two weeks. The midwife seemed to suggest that it was likely a miscarriage.

Do I really need to wait that long or would it be worth taking a test sooner? Also, any recommendations on brands to take?

Did you do a few? I'd expect the line to be fainter

You can test, the line will go fainter.
I’m sorry op

@xoJellyBean and @Moonshine11 thanks for your replies. I am wondering if it is worth doing tests or if it will just be a torture for me as even if the line is still strong I cannot be sure that means I am still pregnant. I am just wondering if I really need to wait two weeks, or if the HCG hormone would change enough in a week for example, to give a different result?

You should deffo see in a difference in a week yes

Sorry to hear your news. I was advised to wait 3 weeks but I think that’s because I was further along (9 weeks). You could test earlier but be prepared for a faint line. I know I’d rather see a negative than a faint positive so decided to wait but only you know how you feel x
