Easy@home test reliability - is this positive?

How reliable are these cheapies off Amazon? I think I have seen some other posts from people saying they use them but not sure how good they are.
I am 12dp IUI. Unsure of exact ovulation date. Tried to resist but did a sneaky test this morning. This seems a bit early for a positive, if indeed that is a faint second line (can't decide)?
I'll test again Wednesday (actual 2ww date) with the test the clinic gave me but just wondering if these cheap ones can be relied on.

Many poster said they trust those easy@home tests. I can see a very, very faint line!

Lolajames · 07/06/2021 15:02

Doesn't look so feint to me I can see it clearly 😀

Applecrumble24 · 07/06/2021 15:05

I can see it. I use those and I've never seen even a hint of a line when not pregnant. Congratulations!

Beanybob · 07/06/2021 15:05

Oh my god! Definitely going to be dipping every morning now until I believe it!!

They're really trustworthy! And 12dpiui isn't early for a line surely! Was it a medicated iui, was there a trigger to test out?

Beanybob · 07/06/2021 15:29

@Juno231 I did have a trigger shot and tested last Friday and had a BFN. I dunno it just feels really early especially as clinic advised not to test until 2w+2d which is 4 days away!
Trying not to get excited as still getting bad AF like cramps, have been for over a week now.
But we shall see!

@Beanybob ah the clinics are really cautious with the testing dates though and it's partially because they use 25 miu tests whereas most people get hold of 10 or less (eg FRER). Definitely a positive you've got there, congrats!

Whilstwewait · 07/06/2021 16:17

I had my first postive on these tests. My baby is now 4 weeks old so was reliable for me. X

ConfusedNewbie21 · 07/06/2021 16:40

Congratulations @Beanybob Daffodil

May I butt in and ask what any of you think of these tests? Since then the lines havnt always been there which is confusing (but very early on). Also pink dye and thought it looked similar to the one on here x

Easy@home seem pretty sensitive to me, I got a clear line at 10dpo when there was nothing on a supposedly 10miu one step test. Also tested positive on frer that day.

Just started getting a bit of bleeding and boobs not nearly as painful this morning :( I'll try and hold out testing til tomorrow morning but not looking too promising.

Beanybob · 08/06/2021 16:41

Couldn't wait (clearly becoming a serial tester) just done these after no drink or wee for several hours. Still got a faint line, not sure how it compares to first from yesterday, abo6 the same maybe?
Bleeding is still just brown.
Say if implantation had occured but it hadn't stuck, how long does HCG stay at a detectable level?
Just doesn't feel like it's truly a BFP :(

Was sure I added them...

Get yourself a FRER and a digital one. I reckon they will be much clearer!

Beanybob · 08/06/2021 16:56

@welshweasel Thanks - maybe I will if it's still really faint in the morning. We did actually test with my OH's wee as well to see if it was a dud batch of tests and she definitely didn't get two lines so they're definitely picking up something in mine, it's just if it's something that's been and gone or not which is the worry.

Lesson learned about testing early! Not that I will follow my own advice in future!

Bleeding seems to have stopped but still have pains. Tested again FMU - green is test from clinic and very very very faint, pink is easyathome and a bit darker but I still think lighter than yesterday, what do people think?
I had envisioned leaping for joy at a positive on 2ww day but I'm just fretting instead that it's not getting darker.

I have a clear positive on a FRER and also did an easy at home and my easy at home isn't as dark as yours! Get a FRER!

Bundaberg84 · 09/06/2021 08:27

@Beanybob yes, what Lola said, get a FRER :)

Beanybob · 09/06/2021 08:29

Forgive my ignorance (this is all new to me) but what will the FRER tell me?

OP posts:
Bundaberg84 · 09/06/2021 08:57

@Beanybob they are much more sensitive and are a bit easier to read than the strips. The easy@homes are good, too though. Just don't buy store owned brands that you don't know how sensitive they are.

Beanybob · 09/06/2021 09:01

@Bundaberg84 Ok thanks very much, I'll try and get one from Chemist today or tomorrow (they seem to have v dodgy reviews on Amazon so not sure whether to trust them)
Do you think the lines look any fainter from my first pic?

OP posts:
LadyDanburysHat · 09/06/2021 09:01

Don't worry about stomach cramps, they are very common in early pregnancy. It certainly looks positive to me.

Bundaberg84 · 09/06/2021 09:04

@Beanybob there are always some tests that are a bit dodgy, and of course those are the reviews that you will see - because when would you leave a comment on Amazon? :)
No, I think they're about the same. Just as a reference, I took a test in the evening at 15dpo and there was a faint line, took another one next morning and it was even more faint. I'm 6 weeks pregnant now though. So if it's not a very visible line vs. a nearly invisible line, there's no reason for panic :)

Beanybob · 09/06/2021 09:11

Thank you everyone for reassurance :) I am a very anxious person generally and trying to be rational but it's very hard.
Ok, next step FRER!

OP posts:
Noodella18 · 09/06/2021 09:44

The easy@home ones never got very dark for me, so it was hard to see progression. Frer show really good progression, as do femometer cheapy strips from amazon.
