I have been off the pill and TTC for around 15 months. After around 6 months of TTC I was diagnosed with PCOS as I wasn’t getting my period (no other symptoms e.g weight or hormonal problems). Since this year I have been on provera to induce a bleed and then letrozole to induce ovulation.
The first cycle went fine (although I didn’t ovulate) and went back on provera to induce another period before cycle #2. This time I never got my period. Went to my clinic for a scan that confirmed I still had a thick lining and the nurse suggested I try my own contraceptive pill which always worked like clockwork to induce a bleed before. They also noticed a cyst on my ovary then that they wanted to give some time to hopefully reduce before starting the letrozole again. I took my last pill (after 3 weeks) on Sunday and still NOTHING. This pill worked like clockwork every month when I was on it for 15 years, it never took this long for my period to start before.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’m so frustrated as it feels like we are never making any progress and haven’t even begun trying after over a year! Thanks in advance for any help.
