No ovulation “peak” on clear blue but (I think) BFP at 10dpo (FRER)!

Hi everyone!
I have just signed up today after lurking on these forums for the last month or two. I’m 30, married for 3 years, and we stopped using protection 3 months ago. This month was the first month I said let’s “try” properly and tried to chart my ovulation time with opks. I never got the smiley face on clear blue digital, and currently 10dpo (according to a simple Period day - 14 calculation for ovulation done by my period app) and feeling very standard pms-y (that’s one thing I do know how to chart! I get very clear irritability and body aches the days before).
I have a 29-30 day cycle, so AF expected in 4 days.
Today I decided to do an FRER out of curiosity and there was a definite two lines. My question is anyone got BFP on FRER at 10 dpo only to have it be a false positive? Considering that I never got an ovulation peak I’m wary of getting excited, and also since it seems early to get the result.

A positive is a positive @teaandtiaras91! I wouldnt say its a false positive if the 2nd line is clear.

Some women have quite sharp LH peaks that can be hard to pinpoint with the testing strips - like even if you take one daily, it might be not positive when you do it then a true peak 1 hr later

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you so much! It was my first month using opks and frankly started feeling hopeless after seeing no “peak” / smiley face. It was also a travel month, so perhaps you’re right I missed the LH surge despite my best efforts to find it.

I just did a second FRER this morning (cd27, 11dpo, I think)... and BFP! A teeny bit darker as well.

I’m in shock and it’s taking a little bit of time to sink in. Feel like I won’t believe it until I miss my period which is expected in three days.
