Sex every day of FW or every other day?

Just wondering what the consensus is on here about sex every day/every other day of the fertile window? I’ve seen a lot of contradictory info online and have always had sex every day of my fertile window previously so that we didn’t ‘waste time’, has anyone had advice otherwise that it should be every other day to give the speed count a chance to build up?

I don’t know if this helps, but I’m under a fertility consultant at the moment. His exact words to me were

‘the magic number is 2. Have sex twice a week every week’

He said doing that means you always have live sperm in your tubes waiting for you to ovulate (provided OH has no issues with swimmers, I assume). Hope that helps. Good luck! 🙂

@DNAshelicase I know, there are confliciting information out there about that. Every other day is perfect, until you hit your peak, then I'd recommend every day. If you know your cycle well enough, it'd be a day before ovulation, the day of ovulation and the following two days.
You can also do every day of course following up your ovulation. If there is any known problem with your partner's sperm count, it's advised to take a day "off" in between.

Always just had sex every day whilst trying to conceive and fallen pregnant quickly.

I've read every 2-3 days. We did every day running up to and over fertile window when TTC first child though and it happened first cycle. I am
Older now though so I expect will be longer for next one.

Having same dilemma. This cycle we've done every day from CD11 to CD15, I got OPK peak on CD13. When we conceived DC1 we did every day and twice one day, BFP first cycle.

I did every day, had the odd day off. When I fell pregnant we had sex 3 days in a row.

Every other day is still just as good a chance, allows sperm to replenish and doesn’t burn you both out x

Fertility doc told me to try every day and that the "every second day to replenish" was a myth. Research seems to suggest it.. though research also said in the morning is probably the best time, and I'm not getting up at 5am to test that theory.

Last month we did every other day leading up to my peak then we did it evening of my peak and everyday for 3 days after. I'm now 4 weeks pregnant. X
