Pregnancy from sex once in FW?

So we’ve been using natural cycles as contraception for the last 6 months. My cycles are a little irregular and vary between 28-35 days. We aren’t actively TTC but would both be happy if we were to get pregnant. This month it turns out we had unprotected sex once on Sat (Day 15 of cycle) and I then had confirmed ovulation on the Mon (Day 17 of cycle). I know there’s a chance I could be pregnant but anyone have experience of conceiving from sex only once in the fertile window?!

You only need one sperm to fertilise an egg so it is perfectly possible.

I'm currently pregnant from having sex once in a blue moon while still breastfeeding the child it took 4 years to conceive. I didn't even know my cycles had started again until I started feeling so ill that I took a pregnancy test to rule it out.

After it taking so long to conceive DS I'd never thought it could be possible to get pregnant accidentally (for me anyway) but it was a lovely surprise.

As long as you and your DP/DH are definitely on the same page regarding a pregnancy it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yes, me. We had actively been trying for months before but the month we conceived we had actually only had sex once in my fertile window and I honestly thought there was no way that month would have been a pregnancy. But it was!! X

Yep also me. Sex on the Sunday and ovulated on the Wednesday.

Both my children were conceived in the month where we had sex only ONCE.

Is it ok to follow the thread? I dtd once too 16 hours before ovulation and had the same question. Lets hope it's our month x

Yep we decided to just see what happens on valentines this year and not use protection. Had no idea if I was ovulation etc and I'm currently 16 weeks 🤣🤣🤣 we were pleasantly surprised that our random attempt was successful !

We were ttc 7 months with baby #5. We had a really stressful month (family stuff) and only managed to DTD once the whole month and that was the month I fell pregnant so definitely possible!

Yes. Dc3 and dc5 were both one off wonders when not trying.

Dc2 and dc4 when actually ttc took way longer!! 6m and 19m respectively.

Yup I did. We had sex twice in 1 month, still managed to get pregnant.

Me I had it once in the fertile window, 2 days before ovulation using natural cycles, knew the risk had had a few ‘accidents’ before and nothing had happened. I’m now 7 weeks pregnant. Very happy though.

My first pregnancy we literally had sex once in that month due to partner working away and me training for a marathon and just being exhausted & I fell pregnant
