Needing some reassurance. I have been pregnant twice. First pregnancy, first try, resulted in a live birth. Fast forward 3ish years. Pregnant again first try. Resulted in miscarriage during 7th week. This timing is vvvvvv lucky, I know. I think its screwed up my expectations now as this was January and I'm now going into my 5th month trying with no luck. Despair is the word that really describes it. I was quite scared something got messed up with my ERPC as I've experienced light periods since. I've had some bloods done and an ultrasound and nothing really popped up (my lining was thick despite the light periods) other than having one polycystic ovary (still don't know what this means TBH) but my doctor said as long as my period is coming on time don't worry, which it is.

Anyway, if you and your partner don't seem to have any diagnosed issues, how long has it taken you? Or how long did it take if you've been pregnant before? I'm 32 so I don't think I qualify to go in for fertility testing st the 6m mark. I just don't understand how it can happen so wrinkly in the past then nothing now. Any of your stories are greatly appreciated.

At 29 we tried for 5 months before falling pregnant.
Hoping to start trying again soon (still no period even though DS is 18 months) but expecting it may take anything up to a year.
I think falling first time would be a huge shock to me!
Good luck.

I've had 7 pregnancies and 2 children. I generally fall pregnant first or second cycle after stopping contraception and the longest it has taken me to get pregnant so far is 3 months. I'm hoping I'm not jinxing myself saying this but so far at least my problem isn't getting pregnant but actually staying pregnant!

Hello!

I've only been pregnant once and had DC. At 28 it took me 7 months (7 cycles at 28 days) This time round I'm 31 and been trying since March but this is the 4th cycle as they are short after having DS.
This is the first month using OPKs and BBT again and I got my high on them 3 times today so expecting today is my peak and them to start getting lighter again tomorrow.

I was 22 when I got pregnant with DD, that took 7 months.

I’m 25 next month, and we’ve been trying 5 months for our second so far.

Both fit and healthy (I think.. will find out if we don’t conceive after 12 months😂)

I'm 28 and we're currently in month 10 (cycle 11) of trying for our first! Totally didn't expect it to take so long so it has been a struggle. I'm starting investigations (multiple chemicals) and doing acupuncture. Also learning that's it's COMPLETELY normal to try for this long which I didn't know before. Every cycle you've got 20% chance of actually getting pregnant. It's crazy!

@secondorange

Your post could have been written by me. We conceived our son in the first cycle and I gave birth to him last year in August.

We started ttc our second at the beginning of this year. We got lucky on your second cycle in February, but unfortunately I miscarried at 4 weeks and 5 days.

Since then I haven't been successful. 🙄 I seem to be less fertile after miscarriage, not more fertile

It took 5 months with my first at 39 years of age. Trying for my second at 41 and currently on cycle 12. Will be making an appointment with the GP if it doesn't happen this month.
