No period, slight spotting, BFN

Ttc for 5 months now. Had positive Opk on 5th May so AF due 19th. I'm quite regular and always get AF 14 days after positive opk.
I've been having slight spotting every day since 18th but no period. I had period type pains on 17th and 18th.
I did a cb early detection yesterday afternoon but it was bfn.
I don't know whats going on. I feel absolutely normal so no symptoms of pregnancy.
Any ideas or advice?

Hm. Do you have another thest? I would suggest to test again tomorrow morning, with FMU.
There are two plausible situations:
a) you're not pregnant and your AF will arrive eventually.
b) you're pregnant but hcg levels aren't high enough yet. Positive OPK on May 5th would mean your ovulation was 6th or even 7th. Which would make you around 14dpo. Implantation can happen as late as 12dpo, so it's possible it doesn't show yet.

I forgot to mention I've had a little bit of ewcm this week. I wondered if I didn't actually ovulate on the 5th.

It's all a bit odd.

I've heard of cases where you kinda got two ovulations. So body gears up for ovulation but because of some reason it doesn't happen, so it will try a second time a few days later. But if you don't track daily you won't even notice.
It's not a science in the end, is it? We're not machines, and our bodies do amazing things that we have no idea about.

@fairgame84 I’m in the exact same position as you! AF was due on the 15th had slight brown spotting on day AF was due, but never actually came on so I’m currently 6 days late! I’ve had brown/pink spotting every now & again over the past few days but no PMS or anything! Tested Wednesday & BFN but I’ve just grabbed another pack of tests so I can double check, u never know 😂

Basically just wanted to say your not alone, I feel your pain. Hope you get some answers soon!

I couldn't find any frer at sainsbury's, tesco or weldricks so I've got a cb early test for the morning.

Still BFN

Have you had your covid vaccine recently. Seems there are loads of threads on here/cases online of it delaying periods by weeks and even months (some up to 3 months)

I had my 2nd Pfizer vaccine on 26th April.
I didn't have any problems after the 1st vaccine.

I sat staring at this test for far too long convincing myself I could see a hint of a cross. I must be going mad. 😂

Sorry you still don’t have any answers, I’m now a week late so have no clue what’s going on. I haven’t had any vaccine yet either.

It's horrible because you get your hopes up so much. I was trying to convince myself there was a line at 4am this morning but there definitely wasn't. I'm gutted because we've been ttc for 5 months and my colleagues seem to get pregnant straight away. I'm 36 so I don't have time on my side.

@fairgame84 keep the faith, it’s easier said than done I know. I’m on month 5 also, I had the implant out in December so I have to just accept it’s my body still adjusting.

It will happen for you soon. Dont give up hope. It will be your turn soon.

AF has arrived. Typical, it couldn't have come yesterday before I wasted £7 on a pregnancy test! 🤦‍♀️
