EWCM at end of period? Can this be right?

Just a quick question for anyone who knows about these things...and sorry if TMI
My periods tend to tail off slowly over a number of days. I am now cd 10, had my last bit of period cd9, but am now at what I think of as EWCM (lots of it, stringy / stretchy etc). Can it be right that afruns straight into most fertile time? Or could this be why I'm failing to conceive (ie I'm ovulating, but my uterus isn't ready IYSWIM?)

monkeybar, i cannot believe another similarity!!! I am a bit earlier than you only cd7 but af disappeared early on cd5 and then i started to get excm... i asked the trusted lady on mumsnet if it would be possible to be ovulating this early and they all suggested to do lots of bd'ing

I was also getting a pain down one side which could be ovulation pain, so i took dh to one side and told him we needed action!!!

I really don't if it does mean i have ovulated early, but i'm not taking any chances, so get bd'ing girl!!!!

I am pg and conceived on 3rd month. All months I got EWCM on CD9 yet this baby was conceived on CD13 so I've no idea I'm afraid - go for it and keep going I say
