Hi all

I 'm 37 and trying to conceive baby number 2. With my first I fell pregnant at 32 after 3 months of trying.

Me and my husband have been trying this time for 13 months.

I have been using the clearblue digital ovulation test and nearly always peak on CD 14. I'm always regular with my period on day 28.

This month, all i have got is flashing smilies and no peak. I'm on day 10 of flashing smiley face. Think it's CD 18.

Do I call it a day this month and stop testing with the OPK or do you think there is still a chance I'll peak?

Does this mean I haven't ovulate this month?

Sorry for so many questions, it just gets so disheartened when you have been trying for so long and time isn't on your side.

Thanks
Curly x

Hi OP, it is strange that you haven't peaked this month yet if you're sure youre normally regular but I would keep going, there could be a reason for your ovulation to be pushed out later this cycle, I've had it happen to me before. I've had about 12 days of flashing before I got my static before so don't give up. There's a chance you won't ovulate this cycle and OPKs don't indicate that you have or haven't either in previous cycles, only bloods or tracking bbt would do that, but it's worth to keep checking in my opinion.

I'm sorry it's been difficult for you this time around! It might be worth getting some bloods done / speaking to your doctor to check that you are ovulating if you haven't already done so since you've been trying for over a year. Wishing you the best of luck!

Thank you so much for responding @choccrumpet. I think you're right, I should really speak to my GP.

Hearing you got a static after 12 days, gives me hope. So I think I'll persevere just a little longer.

Thanks

Ah thank you @monkeyy97, I'll keep testing for the next couple of days 🤞

@CurlyNo2 have also had a cycle where I got flashing smilies for days and days. I ended up ovulating right before my period was due, apparently it can be normal to have an off cycle. Period arrived 12 days after I ovulated. Keep testing and have sex on your peak

Thank you all!

Another bloody smiley face again today! 🙄
