Deferral of university place?

Morning ladies,

I've been accepted on to a uni course in September, but have recently found out I'm pregnant with my first baby. I'd definitely still like to go and do my course, but due to the quite physical nature of the course and being due in January it's best to defer for a year.. but I'm not sure if that's an option? Has anybody else successfully deferred a uni place due to pregnancy?

Any advice welcome xx

Congratulations! How far along are you? I'd urge you not to make any final decisions at the moment. Get an idea of what you'd like but do not act upon it until after your 12 week scan.

Hi Chanel,

Very sound advice, thank you I will do that. I'm only about 5 weeks so very conscious it's early days. I've selected my firm choice for uni, just wasn't sure if deferral is an option? Xx

I'd definitely ring up the admissions at the uni and explain the situation, they should be able to say what the definite options are x
