Menstrual cycle getting shorter by one day each month

I am tracking my cycles in preparation to TTC later this year. I started in September. I’d never paid attention to my cycle length before then. For the first four months, I had a 33 day cycle with a 5 day period. For the past five months, my cycle has been getting shorter by one day each cycle - I’m now down to a 27 day cycle and periods are four days long. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a sign of declining fertility? I’m hoping my next cycle is 27 days or longer, and that it doesn’t decrease any further. I am 34.

I had similar around that time and it was just my pill still wearing off. I stopped it over a year ago now and my cycles finally settled at 28 days. It started at 40! Hopefully it's just your body finding a 'better normal'?

@Loops01 that’s a good point that I never thought of. I had the non hormonal copper coil removed in August last year. It shouldn’t affect periods but perhaps it did and things are settling down now. Fingers crossed!

It's very likely it will affect it in some way, just not providing false hormones but may affect your own hormones. Hopefully it's just that. I wouldn't worry too much as it seems still 'normal'. Best of luck!
