How to check CM if BD previous night

Hello

As per title...I know TMI (if there is such a thing on here!)
But how do you check your CM if you have had sex the night before as I always have residual sperm to come out (arh god that definitely was TMI)
(TTC #2)

Thanks!

I always think this!! Having sex every other day means I really can’t tell the difference between what is just residue or what is CM. I have heard someone say that one will sit on the toilet paper and the other will soak? I will let someone else come and confirm which way that is.

It's easier to tell apart when you're fertile as EWCM is quite different to semen. EWCM is very stretchy, clear and will sit ontop of the toilet paper. Semen is creamy, it will soak into the toilet paper and it does not stretch at all (it's more like lotion). Hope that helps!

Honestly I disagree. Lets go full TMI here - sometimes the semen water content seems to sink in to the vagina, so what I end up with in my knickers is a blob of jelly that is VERY like EWCM. So my honest answer is that I have no idea and dont find observing mucus very helpful for me!

@TheDaydreamBelievers I have to agree with you my experience of semen is clear and like EWCM - very confusing!!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/05/2021 18:45

@Honey2 I've spent more time prodding blobs and thinking "semen or mucus?" than I care to admit

Haha!! It's so hard to tell. Maybe if I think back the cm is clear and the swimmer are more cloudy. I'll be paying extra attention now!
