OP posts:
MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 21:44

for bon fire night, (or is that just for the UK, I assumed most of the world adopted it as well) sorry, it's for the whole guy fawkes trying to blow up the houses of parliment a long time ago. (or was it the commons??) any ways it was basically treason. so we set of fire works and light a big bon fire and put old rubish and any home made guy fawkes on it.

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 21:48

hate to break up your current topic, cause some partying and a bit of drinking sounds good to me to, but iam on cd24, so i guess i gotto wait a few more days to "get down" lol. anyway, i was just wondering, does anybody have any clue how high my chances are of having multiples, if i go through IUI insemenation, along with rounds of clomid? i want to have babies, though i would prefer one at a time, and the doctor didn't share those risks with me at all! iam alittle nervous. i have never been on clomid even yet, are the side effects really bad, cause i can be a bitch on my own sometimes lol. thanks for any help guys, and keep the taps a flowin!! and for everyone in my boat, waiting on the dreaded af to rear her ugly head, i hope none of us see her this month!! baby dust to all!!

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 21:57

Where is everyone tonight??????

OP posts:
Tania2 · 05/11/2004 21:59

Shely friend of mine was on clomid for one month and fell pg with twins. But she told me there is only a 7% chance of that happening.

OP posts:
MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 22:06

I always thought u had more of a chance of multiple if you had fertility treatments, do u get his clomid on the NHS or do u have to pay for it?

Tania2 · 05/11/2004 22:10

Not sure munnzie but our country's would be different anyway.

OP posts:
MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 22:12

what eva the out come shely, the big man upstairs (not DH!) wouldn't give u a multiple pg if he didn't think you could handle it! either way just enjoy how eva many babies you have, i'll keep my fingers crossed for a quick result for you.

SHELY · 05/11/2004 22:13

i gotto pay for the balance of whatever the insurance doesn't cover, (well, my hubby does lol)but iam reading about it, and it says, clomid is usually used for women with irregular cycles and those who don't ovulate, and if you aren't a proper candidate for it, it can cause you to not get pregnant, and can do more harm then good. i have regular periods, i know i ovulate! iam buggin myself over here. i also saw that it should only increase the multiples about 7-10%, but in conjunction with the insemination, i wonder if it's higher?? thanks for your help guys, anything that keeps me from going overboard, is helpful.

SHELY · 05/11/2004 22:14

iam like 104 lbs, me carrying twins would be quite a sight my friend's wife had triplets, but that was from invitro, so.....??

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 22:21

is there no otehr treatments you can have? If you're not sure thou or have any questions speak to your Dr, I always find the internet confuses me more! and then every thing gets blown out of proportion until I chat to the dr who calms me down again.

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 22:24

girls, i need help urgently, whats the new song on the KFC advert?? (sorry to go off the point) a friend has just borken up with his g/f of 3 years and is in serious morning and wants the song.

SHELY · 05/11/2004 22:26

well, he said that he has no logical idea of any medical reason me and my guy aren't conceiving, and so, of course when he suggests something, i assume he knows best and he said to do the clomid w/ the iui insemination. i ovulate and everything, which is the biggest reason to take the clomid. and yes the internet is confusing me, but this is my 1st specialist, and he's only seen me a short amount of time, what if the stuff ends up hurting me instead of helping, and iam not one to make a fuss with him and ask a bunch of questions, i just clam up and get shy, thats why i read so much online. he's supposed to be a great doctor, but i have no second opinion on this one. i have ovarian cancer in my family big time to, and i heard clomid increases the risk of that as well, so iam stumpted! iam just so happy that someone finally wanted to take some real action ya know?? i pray af doesn't come this week, and i won't need anything at all, but iam not feeling too positive anymore about that

SHELY · 05/11/2004 22:29

iam very sorry to hear about your friend i wish i knew the song, but i never heard of it. i know all about that mourning process. crying over sad songs and being miserable, becomes you favorite thing to do. i hope he/she recovers super fast!!

MunnzieB · 05/11/2004 22:29

my heart goes out to u hon, my aunty died last year of ovarian cancer after a 7 yr battle, keep your chin up hon, i'll keep my fingers crossed for u that u don't have AF.

SHELY · 05/11/2004 22:34

thanks munnzieb!! my mom's mom (aka my grandma) died at 40 from ovarian cancer, and my mom had a hysterectomy at 36, cause of problems she was having. early stage signs, so i go for extra paps, all the time, since i was about 15 years old. iam 29 now, so i get extra anxious that i will get it, and not have my children yet ya know? i was blessed to have the one who passed, but i am desperate to have another with my hubby. he is 42 and has never had a child. but he's ok, we checked. i hope this doctor will be doing the right thing for me (fingers crossed), i appreciate the support!!
