Hi ladies,

I hope everybody is keeping safe and well.

I am new here. This is our first month ttc, I removed my last contraceptive patch on 27th March and had my period/withdrawal bleed from 31st March to 4th April.
I have removed my patches previously around 6 months ago to give my body a break and my cycle was regular like before I was on the patch (28 day cycle).

My period was due yesterday, I stated getting slight cramping last night (I don't really get cramping usually during my period I just feel kind of sicky if that makes sense).. and since this morning I think I'm having what could be implantation bleeding? I have attached a picture of my tampon (sorry if tmi) this is after me changing it 4h later.. this mornings was the same.. nothing seems to actually be exiting my body though..

I (stupidly) took a test this morning and of course it was a bfn.. thoughts??

Thank you in advance your advice/thoughts are much appreciated xxx

I'm sure I read that if you think you're pregnant you shouldn't use a tampon, I could be wrong though.

It's hard to say many don't get it and some get it and aren't pregnant. If it is you would probably get a positive test in a few days 🤞🏻 for you x

Thank you for your comments, I wasn't aware of that and had seen other people posting about using this method to see if af was gonna arrive. I won't be doing that again!

As above poster said, you're better changing to pads if you think you may be pregnant, especially if you're not bleeding heavy.

I'm not sure how the patch works but if it's anything like other hormonal contraception, having come off it in the past and going straight back to normal 28 day cycles doesn't necessarily mean you will this time.

It could be that you're pregnant and that's implantation bleeding, or it could equally just be your body adjusting to the change in hormones.

Pick yourself up some first response ER tests and if in a few days your period still hasn't started try testing again with FMU
