Bright red spotting 9dpo, IB or AF?

Hello,
So me and DH had sex twice which happened to fall within my ovulation period (once on my ovulation day), we aren’t currently trying to conceive as we actually have an 8 month old, so I haven’t really been keeping track of my ovulation Blush. A few days after the sex I had a bit of spotting, brown, nothing much. Assumed it’s due to being to rough in bed. Then at 9dpo (yesterday) I had some bright red blood when I wiped, not loads, not enough to go on my underwear either. I assumed I was starting AF, but it would’ve been 6 days early? I wouldn’t have thought it will have been anything else, nothing came after it, today nothing. Just a tiny bit of brown discharge/spotting, I put a tampon in assuming I might start at any point but nothing just the brown discharge. I thought it could maybe be IB but I never had that with my first and it just seems a little too good to be true with the bright red blood.
I took a cheap little stick test yesterday at 9dpo nothing, not even a faint line. Then again today at 10dpo, again absolutely nothing. Both BFN.
Is this just AF? Why is it early? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Hmm
I’ve had a few cramps today, I usually get a bit of brown discharge before my period but never a bleed. It’s always 1-2 days before as well, not 5-6.
I’ve ordered a first response test, I just think it’s a little too good to be true and it’s AF as I can’t imagine I’d be having bright red IB, has anyone got any advice?
Thanks

I could have written your post! I also have an 8 month old and similarly had cramping and bleeding (bright red) about 6 dpo. It was however after sex so I’m unsure if maybe it is more likely to be something else. Watching with interest to see how you get on.
