3rd Miscarriage - Next Steps. Help/advice sorely needed

Writing this message is extremely tough. I have just started the beginning of my third miscarriage at 4 weeks 6 days - I appreciate it is very early so could be termed as a chemical pregnancy.

I had a MMC in May 2020 at 8 weeks after discovering the baby had stopped growing at 6.5 weeks shortly after seeing a heartbeat.

I then had a second MC in November 2020 at 6 weeks.

In Jan of this year I lost a stone in weight to regularise my cycles (which was successful) and had some tests for miscarriages done privately. It was discovered that I have a raised clotting amplitude and was advised to take daily aspirin after my next BFP. The clinic where hopeful that this, along with my weight loss and regularisation of cycles would help us stay pregnant.

Fast forward to last week, I discovered I was again pregnant - started the asprin as prescribed. Had my bloods done last week and they were doubling as expected.

However, today I have started bleeding with cramping and I know this is the start of miscarriage no.3.

We don't know what to do next, does anyone know what our options would be moving forward or is it simply to have another go.

I would be eternally grateful if anyone else who has been through something similar could give me any advice.

Thanks :)

@MsK89 Thanks very much. It's not been easy as you can imagine. We just want to get on with it and try again - the awaiting around just feels like wasted time.

The stress is causing me to eat too. I lost 1stone before this pregnancy to help minimise my risk of MC and to improve my cycle length (which the weight loss did achieve) - so trying to make sure I don't put too much weight on - so monitoring it before going back on diet after MC. Although I am trying to go easy on myself and let myself comfort eat a bit - monitoring has worked as luckily haven't put any weight on.

When I had medical management I found it started pretty quickly - but it depends I think how far along you were. At what point was your MC diagnosed? Did you go through something similar with the EPU?

That's good you have got your date for June - I recon that is timed so by the time of your appointment all of your hormones will be back to normal and they can start the tests straight away. Are you going to wait for this appointment start trying again? That is what is tough about the tests is that you cannot fall pregnant whilst they are being done as the tests which require to be compared cannot be accurately determined.

Sending lots of love x

@MsK89 If it doesn't progress after the w/e - perhaps it's worthwhile giving your EPU a call? You don't want to have to wait 2 do a pregnancy test to get it checked over.

I have heard stories of people need second doses.
