Positive pregnancy test 8 days after Ovitrelle?

I’ve got a slight positive pregnancy test 8 days after injection with Ovitrelle. Therefore I am afraid to be happy too early.🙈
I’ve heard that Ovitrelle can stay in the body for 7-10 days.. So it was kinda stupid to test this early.. I tested because I have been feeling nauseous, with acid reflux and felt twinges/small cramps in my lower stomach for a couple of days.

Hi @Sarahdenmark I have been taking Ovitrelle for the past three months and it tends to stay in my system for around 10 days. Your test does look a little darker than I would expect though so could be something! I think the best thing to do would be to test tomorrow and see if it is any darker as it should be getting lighter. For context, I did a test this morning and it is lighter than yours and I am a day behind you.
I am 7 days post Ovitrelle so we are almost cycle twins ☺️ I have been getting acid reflux too. wishing you all the best and look forward to hearing the outcome.

I also think that my test does look rather dark for 8 days after Ovitrelle. But I will test again soon.

I hope this is a true positive for you. I did a medicated cycle last month and tested at 10 days past ovitrelle trigger and had a positive test - looked about 11dpo in strength on a frer, but it was negative on otd.

Hi @Sarahdenmark how are you getting on? Is the test any darker now? I couldn't resist and just took one today, 9 days post trigger and it looks marginally darker than this time last month so I am wishful thinking! Still no where near as dark as yours was on Saturday though, and as @VenusStarr experienced, it could very well be the trigger releasing more slowly this month

Hi! Well, I found out that I calculated the days wrong..meaning, that it was only 5 days past injection, and not 8 days, I took the test!🤦‍♀️However, NOW I actually am the 8 days past injection, and I took a new test which is still positive. It’s not as dark as the first one I posted, which makes me think that Ovitrelle has caused the tests to go positive, and is now fading out. It makes sense actually. However, when Ovitrelle is out of my system for sure, (perhaps in another 6-7 days) I will know that the next test I take is definitely not affected by it:) I will keep testing to see what happens.

Thought I’d follow up on this, so 14 days past Ovitrelle there is a veeeeeery faint line on my test. Actually so faint you can’t barely see it on a photo. But no doubt it’s there. Even when I hold the test in front of me with a stretched arm.
The line was read within 3 mins.
Can it still be Ovitrelle, when it’s 14 days after?🤔

I took a test again this morning, 15 days after Ovitrelle, but with a less sensitive test, and there was still a baaaarely visible line.
My period should be due tomorrow, but I hope that it won’t show up!🙈
Are you still testing? And have you tested Ovitrelle out?

AF arrived for me sadly so onto cycle 15, and fourth one using ovitrelle.

It is, but I’m also reluctant with getting excited too early, until I know the result for sure🙏 I will keep testing🤞🏻

I found out, that Ovitrelle actually stayed 14 days in my system! I’m quite surprised that it took so long time for it to leave. But I wouldn’t have found out if I didn’t test daily.
My period came 2 days late, so here’s for another cycle trying🙏💪
Next time, at least I have a clue of when Ovitrelle is out of my system, and when I should test.👍

Sorry to hear that @Sarahdenmark , as you say, at least you won't be tempted to test early and can try and forget about it until 14/15 dpo next time. I haven't bought any tests and think I am going to try and do the same. This will be my fourth month on ovitrelle and progesterone and hoping it's a lucky one!

It will also be my fourth cycle of ttc with Ovitrelle. So you got a buddy just here💪😊
Instead of Progesterone though, I have been taking 50 mg of clomid ea CB cycle till now. This time my doc suggested trying with 25mg.
Yeah, I think it’s a good idea to not test before there’s a better guarantee that Ovitrelle has left the system. Testing too soon, will only bring disappointment.
I hope for both of us, that the baby miracle will happen soon❤️

@Sarahdenmark although I am sorry to hear that you have been having similar troubles, it's nice to have a buddy on similar treatment! I suspect that my consultant may put me on clomid if this cycle doesn't work too. I am seeing him tomorrow for my cycle tracking scan since it will be CD10. He has mentioned clomid in the past but wanted to try a few cycles without first.

Depending on the individual situation, I can only say that Clomid has done it’s job for me (maturing eggs) every time so far.
Sounds like a good idea for you to try Clomid next cycle, if your consultant recommend it.

Hi @Sarahdenmark how are you? I had one mature follicle on my scan yesterday and triggering tomorrow morning as it was 17mm. This month has flown by for some reason, I can't believe I am almost in the two week wait again.

How are you? How did it go with the 2 ww?
I had a iui done last month, and my period is 2 days late by now, but I think I’m starting it quite soon:( Have the typical period symptoms. But we will see.
Next cycle will be my 5th trying.
Fingers crossed for us both!

Just looking for some advice. I am doing ivf but have been told to keep trying naturally. Sadly our cycle got cancelled this month but not before I took the trigger shot last Tuesday 1st with three strong follicles growing thanks to letrozole.

I went back to the dr Friday and I had 100% ovulated but she cancelled the cycle for other reasons despite my lining being 10.

I have just taken a pregnancy test yesterday and today and the lines are very very dark. On a digital it says 3+ which is exactly the day I got my period but that can’t be right….. Just wondering if this could be the trigger still almost 10 days later. Surely it would be getting a lot lighter?
