I’m on cd4 and I’ve just been prescribed letrozole 5mg to take, starting today, for the next seven days. I have a 7/8 day LP and this is the first time it’s being treated. I ovulate on my own but the doctor wants to see me develop more follicles to strengthen ovulation and stimulate my corpus luteum.
I was happy when I left the doctor’s office as I feel like previous doctors have dismissed or not believed me when I say my LP is short. Finally feel like I have a real chance this month.
Reading about letrozole now, seven days seems a long time - most people seem to take it for 5. It also seems like a large dose for the first time. Assume the doctor knows what he’s doing, just find it interesting.
Has anyone had any experience with letrozole at this dose and/or length of time?
