Hi all, so I’ve had 2 MC and 2 chemical pregnancies all in the space of 4 months now. It’s safe to say I’m exhausted and upset that it’s never going to Happen. We are seeing a doctor now but wanted to ask has anyone had multiple losses and gone on the have a healthy pregnancy naturally or did they need fertility help!?

@Msd2416
Sorry to hear this 😢 I had a MC just before Christmas after trying for 3 months, it's now been another 4 and had a CP last cycle and I believe the one before too. Are you going private or has gp agreed to see you based on your journey you've described above? x

Msd2416 · 21/04/2021 19:43

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that @MessyBob89

We’re just going through the Gp I’ve had bloods done and my hubby has had a sperm analysis so far waiting on his results. The to the fertility clinic. Are you thinking of going to gp?

Hi @Msd2416
Sorry to hear about your losses. I don't have any advice as such but just to say I know how you are feeling - I've had 4 chemicals in the last 5 months and feel like we're not getting anywhere.
We have a referral to a recurrent miscarriage clinic in June so we are having a break for the next few cycles just to see if that makes any difference.
We self referred to a private fertility consultant a few months ago who did basic blood work tests and prescribed progesterone pessaries but unfortunately that hasn't worked for us either. X

Msd2416 · 23/04/2021 10:46

@Icklemissgem i really dont blame you having a break its really difficult! I think we might do the same until the doctors come back with something.

@Msd2416
Oh okay that's good to know! I presumed they maybe wouldn't want to help unless it had been a year. I think if we get to summer and it still hasn't happened, I might contact the drs. I'm however a bit worried they won't help initially and will just say 'lose weight' first, which will crush me 😢 I'm a little overweight, I'm a size 14 but carry it fairly well. I have always weighed heavy though and I do weight training so my heaviness actually pushes me just into the obsese bmi category. I hate bmi with a passion! I have history with an eating disorder so I try to stay away from 'diets'. I do have that worry that the drs would just say come back when my bmi is in the healthy range, which I think I'd have to lose about 4 stone for!

thaimoon · 23/04/2021 11:04

So sorry for your losses lovely Thanks

I went through similar myself two miscarriages and several chemicals and I know how it feels.

I was in a pretty low and dark place for a while and like you I was starting to think it would never happen for us. People around me had lots of advice "just relax" being the absolute worst of course. I fought against all of it feeling that the harder we tried the more likely it was to happen. I had allllllll the tests and supplements and thermometers and charts. I used to grab my boobs obsessively towards the end of my cycle to see if they were still sore (I'm sure my work colleagues must've noticed and god knows what they thought!! Blush). Actually the opposite was true and the more consumed I got the worse I felt and it started to impact on my relationship and our sex life which had just become about conceiving and not love or affection.

I think after a two years of this I just got burnt out and realised I was miserable and needed some happiness again no matter what was in store for us. So little by little (it was a slow process) I started to accept and appreciate life as it was, in that moment.

Very gradually I started to feel less desperate and resentful and anxious. Me and DH stopped talking about it and I binned all the ov sticks and pregnancy tests so I had no idea if I was having chemicals or not. We just enjoyed our time together and life as it was with the two of us.

I stopped timing sex we just did it when we felt like it (which was much less frequently than when we were plotting charts!).

Our little girl came along the following year and we feel so lucky every day.

I'm not sure what I'm saying really or if any of this will be helpful to you I just wanted you to know I've been there too and to share my experience. I wish you all the best

Aprilshowersandhail · 23/04/2021 11:07

How old are you op? I had 3 chemicals and a mmc at 8 weeks. Gave up ttc as age related.. I was 44.

Msd2416 · 23/04/2021 11:23

@Aprilshowersandhail ive just turned 30 and have an 18 month old we conceived first time trying so its all very new and confusing for us! So sorry to hear about that! x

Icklemissgem · 23/04/2021 11:34

@Msd2416 exactly the same here (except I am 34!). I have a daughter who we conceived the first month of trying and now this - it baffles me!! Xx

Msd2416 · 23/04/2021 11:36

@Icklemissgem honestly ive never been so confused in my life. Chasing the doctor up today as desperate to try again this month but also kind of dreading the heartache so going to try and focus on next steps!

Hi @Msd2416
Just seeing how you are getting on since we last spoke?
We've had a break of two cycles and currently in the TWW now.
Still awaiting our recurrent miscarriage appointment in June. Have you had any luck with your appointment? X

Msd2416 · 21/05/2021 11:41

@Icklemissgem Awh thats so lovely of you im currently 13DPO and honestly im petrified of testing. So kind of just waiting. How are you feeling? xx

OP posts:
Icklemissgem · 21/05/2021 11:45

@Msd2416 it’s so hard isn’t it. I’m only 4dpo so a long way off yet but I think I’ll be the same - I don’t know if I am at the point of I’d rather just not know!
Fingers crossed for you this cycle - have you tried anything differently? Xx

Msd2416 · 21/05/2021 11:47

@Icklemissgem yes so hubby got sperm analysis results back which came back with low mobility so he was advised to take VITALDHA for men? and ive been drinking lots of POM juice so fingers crossed. Oh yes keep yourself busy so the time passes! xxx

OP posts:
Icklemissgem · 21/05/2021 11:50

@Msd2416 oh that’s interesting, hubby hadn’t had his sperm analysis done yet.
Keep me updated and sending sticky vibes xx

Msd2416 · 23/05/2021 21:25

@Icklemissgem hey lovely just updating! I got my dates wrong and AF was due yesterday so took a digital test I had spare from last month this morn and got a BFP! I can’t believe it! Still super nervous after everything but weirdly through all the chemicals and MC I didn’t get a digital saying pregnant so I’m crossing everything for a super sticky one! Xx

@Msd2416 oh my days this is amazing - and 2-3 on a digital is definitely a good sign.
I am keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I am 7dpo today and going to hold off until after AF is due to test as well. I feel so worried and nervous already though 😩

Icklemissgem · 23/05/2021 21:36

@Msd2416 have you tried anything different this cycle?
I am going to try baby aspirin I think but read mixed reviews as to whether to start talking it from ovulation or BFP so decided to take it as and when I get a BFP and see what happens... 🤞🏻🤞🏻

thaimoon · 24/05/2021 09:30

@Msd2416 congratulations that's lovely news

thaimoon · 24/05/2021 09:35

@Icklemissgem hope you don't mind me commenting as it's none of my business I know, but unless you have had blood tests and have been advised by a doctor to take aspirin, I wouldn't do it... especially if you get pregnant. Hope all goes well for you and you get your bfp soon Smile

Icklemissgem · 24/05/2021 09:54

@thaimoon I don't mind you commenting Smile please can I just ask what makes you say that? As in I saw in a previous post you saw a specialist was it something they said?
We have our recurrent miscarriage clinic appointment next month but we have already seen a fertility consultant privately and they mentioned it to me as a possible thing to try but I just haven't plucked up the courage on previous cycles but I am getting to the point of I'll try anything Sad

thaimoon · 24/05/2021 10:03

Oh I'm sorry I wasn't aware you'd seen someone already.

It's just that whilst there's some recent research to suggest it may help improve pregnancy rate in women with systemic inflammation it's still a drug that should be taken on advice of doctors who know your full medical history etc incase it's not right for you personally.

But if you've been told it's ok already ignore me.

I'm so sorry it's so tough isn't it. I remember feeling I would try anything too ♥️
