Light period day 20, BFP day 27?

Hi ladies,

Praying for a miracle here. Had what I thought was an early period on CD20 (have pretty regular 28-30 day cycles but had a MC 2 months ago so things are still settling down). “Period” lasted 4 days so a few days less than normal and was definitely lighter than normal. Didn’t think much of it.

Now on what I thought was CD7 of a new cycle, don’t ask me why but I did a test (there is a story as to why!) and got a BFP?! So confused. Clear blue digi says 2-3 which would be about right if it wasn’t for the “period” I had last week.

I’m so confused, and so scared it’s another MC. Going to ring GP in the morning for HCG bloods. In the meantime, can anyone shed any light?

My last mc was like that... Started what I thought was my period. Lasted 3 days then stopped, then I tested positive. But sadly wasn't meant to last and at about 6 weeks it stopped developing.
Mind you, I had different issues at play like low progesterone and late luteal phase which probably played the role. Not so much the spotting.
In fact, my friend who is a doctor told me some women do get their period sometimes, it's way lighter and only last a couple days and continue with healthy pregnancies. Hoping this is the case with you. Keep us posted about your appointment
