Pregnancy symptoms a coincidence

Hi all

Currently on day 22 of my cycle and I have some pregnancy symptoms but I feel like they're all a coincidence. I have tender boobs, a stuffy nose and this morning I woke up with a weird metallic taste in my mouth, if tasted a bit like sucking on coins with a hint of fairy liquid.

I feel like my symptoms are just all a coincidence though, like I know boobs can hurt in this part of your cycle but as I've only just come off the pill I'm unsure of this is normal. I keep putting my stuffy nose down to hay fever and now I feel like the taste in my mouth tastes more like blood.

Not really searching for any answers here, just venting my frustration with you guys 😂 Anyone else just really overthink every little thing in the TWW? I came off the pill in January and caught straight away but unfortunately I had a miscarriage. I think this has just made it all harder!

I had a mc in January too, and since then TTC has gotten so much harder, I literally feel like it's all I can think about. I definitely overthink things during the TWW, currently on CD26 of a 28/29 day cycle. I've still not tested though.

Also I've definitely had some of the symptoms you've mentioned this month! It's hard not to symptom spot but I find logging all of my symptoms (no matter how strange they seem) on my tracking app so I can go back and compare in a month or two. 😂

Just wanted you to know you're definitely not alone in overthinking things and spotting every little thing which feels different. ✨🤞🏼

Symptom spotting is our bread and butter here but it's definitely not worth it. ALL of the pre period symptoms overlap with early pregnancy symptoms as they're both caused by progesterone. They simply don't mean anything until you get your BFP I'm afraid.

I too am the worst for symptom spotting but I swear my body knows i'm ttc and is playing tricks on me as every month I seem to have new AF symptoms. I'm just onto another cycle but last month I had cramping everyday from ovulation to AF and was sure it was something as never experienced it before. Wasn't to be but also hope it's nothing to worry about. Month before that burning boobs again new for me. Every tww I'll tell myself not to google symptoms but it just gets worse

@danielleb97 I have also been logging my symptoms so that on future cycles I can see what was also just a sign of AF on its way.

@Juno231 I know that's the most frustrating part isn't it that the symptoms are pretty much the same! I've been on the pill for so long and I don't think I had any pms symptoms before but that could have all changed!

@suzy124 oh no, that's so annoying that you get different symptoms each time. If only there was a way to know without having to go through the TWW.

@bages1977 yes if only we knew right away and could start trying again immediately, how much more pleasant this process would be!

Hope I can join this thread. I'm on my 2nd month of TTC, the PMS and pregnancy symptoms seem to overlap incredibly. Currently on 10 DPO and since yesterday I've been experiencing cramps on the right side of the uterus (sorry if TMI) and back. Other than the occasional nausea, I have no other symptoms.

Could this be implantation? I'm holding off until Saturday to test, but I'm afraid I might be overthinking pregnancy.

This will be our first, so I'm symptom spotting like crazy. Luckily my OH completely understands and listens.

@Yas34 Of course you can join ☺️ they are definitely signs of early pregnancy but like you said, they all overlap so much! I think I'm 9DPO today so I'm putting off testing too until next weekend. I keep telling myself that I won't test until my period is late by at least a few day but I know I'll cab and rest on the weekend 🙈

It will also be my first apart from the miscarriage. When I was pregnant before my symptoms were mainly breast tenderness and severe bloating. But then I've heard that symptoms can be completely different in the next pregnancy! Our bodies don't make it easy for us do they!

@bages1977 It's good to speak to people who are going through the process. Sorry to hear about your MC, I really hope this month is successful for you too.

I'm also finding it difficult to resist testing, but I know it's too early.

Yesterday my legs, back and hip were aching terribly. The hip aching is new (I’m 34 so I don’t think it’s old age...yet), used to some leg and back aching but this was next level.
Also have a cold since yesterday, could easily be hay fever or unrelated to anything.
At least no AF yet. I’m giving it a few more days until testing, AF could turn up and ruin the party at any time! @bages1977 how are you getting on?

@yas o also have a full cold now. I know being a bit sniffly is a pregnancy symptom but o think I actually just have a cold.

Still no sign of AF. Apparently I was due yesterday but I'm very confused about when I'm due on and when I would have ovulated. My miscarriage started at the end of March so they say treat that as calendar day 1 but I think now I might need to add another week to that if I still had HCG in my system. So I'll wait another week 😂

Still got sore boobs but not developed any further symptoms other than a bit of back ache and odd shooting pain in my leg. Will keep you posted if anything else changes. I think it will be a BFN this month but there's always hope

AF arrived today. Onwards and upwards. It's only been 2 months since we've been TTC so not giving up hope. At least I've been tracking my cycle and symptoms so I'll know what to look out for.

@Yas34 sorry you didn't get your BFP this month. But like you said, it's only your second month of trying which is completely normal! Tracking is a really good way of getting to know your body around all times of your cycle and I think it will help a lot.

I got a BFP this morning to my surprise. Although it's such good news I just feel very anxious and scared that I will have another MC so I'm trying to just carry on thinking as if im not pregnant. I feel like previous MC's just take the magic out of early pregnancy so I don't think I'll rest until I'm at least passed 12 weeks.
