Help! Opinions on these lines! History of CPs and on progesterone!

Hi Ladies!

I posted last month about some faint lines and unfortunately it ended in a CP (third one).

Doctor put me on progesterone (oral) and I got a positive yesterday but I’m obviously worried it is happening again. These are 15 DPO and 16 DPO. The lines haven’t gotten any darker between days (I know it’s only been 24 hours) but I don’t have the sore boobs I had with last month’s CP and every time I’ve been pregnant (I have a 3 year old) my boobs are my indicator! I’m not sure if the progesterone will prevent my body from miscarrying if this is another abnormal embryo? Anyone have experience with positives on progesterone?

I see so many women’s tests at 15/16 DPO super dark so I’m worried these aren’t dark enough! And of course super anxious to have a 4th CP. I’m 38 and almost 39 so worried that I will always have a CP and it will not stick.

Any advice is very very welcome!!!! Thank you!!

I'm sorry about your chemicals. I can't offer any advise on the progesterone but I've had a few chemical pregnancies.

All were faint lines that barely progressed past faint so from my experience your line looks great.

My first cp I had sore boobs, nausea, lumps on my nipples the works, the next month nothing...I was and my little one is now 1 so symptoms aren't always the same so try not to worry about that

The darkness can depend on the amount of due but also when you implanted, someone who implanted at 7dpo will have darker lines than someone who implanted at 10dpo for example.

I know it's so hard but please try not to worry atm your lines look great there might not be much progression but it's not lighter which is good and also remember it takes around 3 days for the hormone level to double so unlikely to see changes in 24 hours. Can you ask for 2 blood tests to check the levels are rising that's more important than the dye in a test

Keeping my fingers crossed this is a sticky baby for you. 💕🤞🏻

Crossing fingers for you. I had a chemical last month and have decided to try to wait at least until day before AF due before testing. I had so many symptoms including sore boobs, a little nausea, tiredness, metallic taste in mouth. I had a very faint positive but the next day, nothing. I had a MC in December and after my extremely faint positive when first finding out I was pregnant, the next day's line was strong and dark clear as day after only 24 hrs. I don't have any more advice beyond my experience but crossing fingers for you!

Do youind me asking how long you've been trying before you got progesterone? Or is it down to other factors?

Thanks for your message @firsttimemummy321. Congrats on your baby! Very good point re/ implantation. I had t thought of that. I had implantations cramps and a bit of bleeding around 10/11 DPO so makes sense as to why my lines aren’t as dark as I expect. I have a docs appointment on Monday to test blood levels. I could have gone today but to be honest I want to see if it makes it through the weekend! Hard to get excited when you have had so many chemicals!

My boobs were a bit sore yesterday (not nearly as much as they normally are when pregnant) but today not really at all so I get that each pregnancy is different but worried about symptoms disappearing today!

Hi @MessyBob89! Thanks for your message. We have been actively trying now for 4 months. Had a CP last month but also had two CPs in a row last summer when we weren't”t really trying .. so three CPs in the last 8 months and the doctor said taking oral progesterone couldn’t hurt so on 200 mg each night. Not sure if it will help or just delay a miscarriage as you can’t get your period until you stop taking it...

@Wimbymom
Ah thank you, that's interesting to know. I don't know why I presumed they would want to see that you'd tried for a year and had multiple MC before offering anything! I may look into it if we get to summer with no luck for us. We've been trying since October.

I’m sorry you’ve had to go through these CPs too @GappyValley. They are miserable. Just had my HCG drawn and it was 211 at 4 weeks 2 days.. the nurse over the phone was kind of “eh let’s see if it works” 😬 Going in for more bloods on Monday morning.... going to be a long weekend for sure...

@MessyBob89 I know how frustrating these loses can be and I’m so sorry for yours. I’m just amazed at how common they seem when we all start talking about them. I think from what the docs have told me you can never have too much progesterone so it certainly can’t hurt! And it’s just an oral pill each night for me so super easy!
