I stopped taking the pill today (I took the first one of a new pack yesterday but since then decided to stop) when should I start using OPKs? Thanks

Don’t bother with OPKs. Have sex every other day.

See how you go for a couple of months before turning to opks etc. Regular sex is the way forward - not stressing over the darkness of opk lines!

Agree with the above posters, opks cause stress. Sex every other day and then you're covered. Plus, your cycle can be all over the place after stopping the pill, longer/shorter than normal.

Thanks all. I used opks for my first baby and was successful quickly and would rather pin point when I'm ovulating. Due to shift work etc we can't have sex every other day.

In that case I would suggest temping and tracking periods as a more accurate method of pinpointing ovulation. If you used opks for your first baby then your cycles may well be similar so you will already know when your fertile days are roughly. Opks are not that accurate and even when they peak it's hard to say when ovulation will happen. Sperm can also survive for several days so sex doesn't need to be on ovulation day. Just plenty of sex around the middle of your cycle is a great start! Good luck.
