Faulty one steps? Faint positives for over a week and husbands looks the same

Basically been getting faint positives for over a week and I'm a week late tomorrow (bled at 7dpo which could have been a super early period as still breastfeeding )

Dipped on in water yesterday to check as it's been driving me mad and there was a shadow but not as prominent as mine so this morning I got my husband to do one to compare and they are pretty much the same!

I know men can get a positive with testicular cancer so going to get him to get checked to be on the safe side but as I'm sure I'm not pregnant I'm assuming faulty tests?

Also did a digital as late and said not pregnant

Anyone had similar recently? Mine definitely has a pink tinge in real life

...for fun guess which is mine 😂

Hi OP I had similar lines on one step tests last cycle. I also had a strange cycle, suspect it was a chemical pregnancy. I did take them to be positive because there were no lines on them before and they definitely had a tinge of pink.. but really hard to tell! I'm not buying anymore one step and switched to a different brand to help avoid this from happening again.

Strange your husbands had a line. They look pretty much the same!

Maybe worth trying another brand that's non digital as might be too early for a digital?

Hi, I bought 20 one step tests from Amazon to use in March and mine were the same! I started testing at 8dpo right through to 16dpo and every single one looked like yours and never got darker.
I also dipped in water and got the same result.
I think maybe mine were from a faulty batch 😟
I don't think I'll be using them again!

@choccrumpet sorry about your chemical pregnancy :( I'm not sure why my husband is either so going to get him checked to be sure but guessing faulty tests. I was getting lines on a different batch and super faint in the last frer I did as well. But been getting them for over a week. Yesterday was the first day I used this new batch, on the other batch I had negatives then the faint lines but these are much more prominent. Which brand have you swapped to?

@blab90 that sounds similar to me did you try any other tests? By Andy chance do you still have any? Wondering if it's the same batch/lot 🙈

@firsttimemummy321 could it be a chemical pregnancy? I've had that before when I had faint positives for about a week and it ended in a chemical sadly.

I've been using easy@home tests, think they're the same as the premom OPKs brand but the pregnancy test strip version. I think all strip brands have issues, it's finding the ones that work best for you really

Yes I tried some other cheap tests and frer but they were negative and AF came on time unfortunately 😟 I've still got some yes. I'll find them out and post a pic.
