Hi everyone! We are currently trying for baby #3 This is cycle 2 and CD5. Period last week was shorter and lighter than normal, really confused me as its never been like that, did 2 tests but both BFN so trying again this month :) Not putting too much pressure on it, just going with the flow and if it happens it happens, trying not to stress too much about it 🙈 anyone else TTC this month? Hoping I can chat in here with people doing the same ❤

Sending you virtual hugs @Onehotmess it’s never nice to see that horrible stark white. Still hoping it’s a bit too early for you and that it hasn’t spoiled your day too much!

@Onehotmess I'm sorry to see this and know how crushing the blank test feels. Sending you love and also hope it is too early, or if not then sending you positive thoughts it happens for you next cycle. Everyone says just stay positive and hopeful, which I get, but we also need to accept that some parts of the TTC journey are really bloody hard. I'm sorry if this isn't your month and we are here and understand.

@Milly238 Yes me too, also not told one in real life cause I don't want to have the question every month. So glad we can share here freely. I'm alos only three months in to trying properly, and I am already so impatient!

@Onehotmess awww I have read that implantation can occur between 7-12dpo so you may not have implanted yet or still too soon to pick up hcg levels!! Like they say you’re not out until AF shows up!! It is so disappointing seeing that BFN though 🙁 when is AF due?

@Milly238 it is so nice to be able to open up and share this experience with you all!! I literally have no one to talk to about this! DH is not interested at all and just keeps telling me it will happen when it happens... TTC is an isolating journey so I’m pleased this little forum is going!!

Anyone got any nice weekend plans to help with distraction? Weather is looking ok where I am tomorrow so may visit some family in the garden to try and take my mind off testing!!

@Tryingandhopeful same here with DP not being very sympathetic to the 2WW stress! Totally different experience for us girls. Sending you luck too!

Garden lunch with family sounds like a lovely distraction. Are you doing a BBQ? I've got similar tomorrow, keeping food simple. Just salads and some cold meats and cheese. I'm not much of a domestic goddess!

That’s true, I just see so many where 9 or 10 dpo is 1st positive! Af due on Wednesday x

@Onehotmess I don't want to get your hopes up but when I got stark white like that at 11dpo when I was pregnant with my DD. Did another at 15DPO and got my BFP. Both of FRER's. Try again in another few days x

@Tryingandhopeful my DH is the exact same...it's so annoying! Even though he is lovely and supportive he just doesn't get it and sometimes makes me feel as if I'm in this process alone! Couldn't be further from the truth but I think a lot of men (don't want to generalise) can't cope with what if's, they just deal with the here and now. I envy him in a lot of ways! But I guess that's why there are so many chats like this on mumsnet - we can all relate to the madness that is TTC! 😂

@Milly238 don't be too disheartened as it's still so early! I am like you and have quite long cycles (usually around 33-36 days) it makes the process even more annoying! Incase you missed my previous message I didn't get my BFP with DD until 15DPO. Everything crossed for you x

Thanks @Rudyroo! It’s nice having people who understand how crappy it feels! I don’t remember when I got BFP with my two but I also don’t remember being this obsessed over testing?! 😂 so I probably didn’t test this early. I’ve got to face that I’m older now (my youngest is about to turn 7) and it might not happen first time 😂. I know I’ll be peeing on sticks until I get AF so there’s no point me pretending I’ll wait 48 hours 😂 maybe I could just keep peeing on the same test 😂😂 save some money! Xx

@onehotmess I agree with what the other girls are saying. I was testing everyday since 9dpo and I didn't get a faint line until the day AF was due which i think was 14/15dpo. Hoping it's just to early for you!

@Timeandtidal welcome! Nice to see someone else new in the chat. This will be our second month TTC but it feels like forever!! I feel like constantly waiting for the next day, next week, next month. I have been avoiding going to the store cause I know I will want to buy more test and I spent so much last month. Fertile window starts today and Im already feeling the urge to test and know I can't even test yet ugh 😩 DH thinks I'm going crazy, I was having nausea at 10dpo last month and he thinks I was just getting in my own head! Glad there's other ladies to talk to to help us feel a little less crazy lol

@Milly238 aww you're not out until AF shows up! I had zero symptoms with my second and only found out I was pregnant because my period hadn't arrived! So I wouldn't focus too much on the symptoms!

@Timeandtidal I had ordered OPKs this month too and said I wouldn't use them until next cycle if this one wasn't lucky, but ended up being curious and tested during my fertile window just to see so only used them for around 5 days I think! But will also use mine next month if my period does end up coming at the weekend! I hope you had a lovely day in the sun and doing your spring cleaning! I was in work all day but hopefully we get a good day tomorrow to relax in some sun! Deffo great to have this wee group to be able to support each other! I love it! ❤

@Onehotmess sorry to see the blank test today, but like the other girls have said hopefully it's still just a bit too early! I have my fingers crossed that a wee something pops up on the next test for you! The first faint line I think I've saw was yesterday which was 3 days before AF is due, you're still 5 days away so hopefully after the weekend, you get a BFP! ❤

I took another test this morning to see if the line appeared again today, I was so nervous! Thought it would be completely blank but there was a little something there again today! The top picture was yesterday's test and the bottom is this mornings! I think it's got a little darker? I almost wish I hadn't tested early cause now I'm getting myself all worked up and excited and it could also be nothing ! Been a little crampy and moody today which I always am round AF so still convinced it's coming this weekend!

@Mumofboys20122017 awww congratulations lovely those are definitely BFPs!! The second one is slightly darker for sure!! Wonderful news for you 💕 I know it must feel hard to believe right now but those lines are clearly there!!

@Rudyroo completely agree with you about the OH being in the here and now!!! So glad these message boards exist! I know it’s only the 3rd month trying for us so the I couldn’t manage going through another cycle on my own with all this uncertainty and not knowing! Just feels really nice to know that there are others thinking and feeling the same crazy things I am 😂

@Milly238 I completely empathise with u, my cycles are super long!!! Usually 32-34 days but this month it’s looking like 40ish 😱 I ovulated really late this cycle and it’s so frustrating at times!!

Well I caved and bought my FRERs today as I am tempted to test in the morning but not sure if I should stick to my guns and wait until Monday! I’ve left them in the car for now as it will mean having to get out of bed and get them if I’m feeling desperate 😂🙈

@Tryingandhopeful @Rudyroo aw thank you guys! I just don't think I will fully believe anything until Sunday passes and my period doesn't come 🙈 going to get some FRER tomorrow as well! Crazy with my other 2 pregnancies and seen the lines I was like yep, pregnant! But this time I'm like am I though? 😂 I'm 12DPO today :) how far along are you now? When are you due to test? Xx

I tested with an OPK this morning and it was positive so I decided to test with a clear blue
I’m 13dpo today and due tomorrow so like you don’t think I’ll fully believe it yet 😱

I didn’t believe it all day. I didn’t tell my husband til about 5pm after he finished work. It feels so surreal!

Aw I know what you mean! It's like even though you've been trying, it's still a suprise to actually see a BFP cause you almost talk yourself out of believing that your symptoms are pregnancy related so you're expecting AF not a BFP lol aw im sure you're you're delighted 😊❤

Aww yay congratulations @tuxedocat!!! That’s amazing news!! So nice to see these BFPs come through!! Lol how long have u been getting positives on the OPKs for?! Didn’t realise they also picked up on potential pregnancy too!!

@Tryingandhopeful thank you 🖤 yesterday morning I thought I’d try it as I was too chicken to do a test but my boobs were feeling a little different and I’ve been so tired. My cheap amazon OPK’s were so faint about a week ago post surge, did it with FMU and it was dark. Did one one night and this morning and thought I’ll go for it!

Apparently it’s because the HCG and the LH hormone are quite similar they can’t tell the difference. If you like to POAS it could help!

I’ve got a FRER to do tomorrow morning which is when my period is due and then I’m gonna try and get a digi 🤞🏻

@Mumofboys20122017 looks like a BFP to me! Congrats lovely lady! You can really see the colour in the bottom one ❤️❤️ How exciting - so pleased for you!!

@Tryingandhopeful I also sometimes get 40 day cycles - so annoying! I think you should try your very best to hold out until Monday to test but this is coming from someone with terrible willpower when it comes to testing 😂

@Milly238 thank you! 😊 really hope its darker tomorrow, I'll buy some more expensive tests to try as well as these were just cheapies and I still feel like it's lying to me 😂
