Anyone use the standard OPK tests with the digital clearblue one to cross check?

Does this work well and give more reassurance about when you are due to ovulate?

TIA

I did that this cycle.

The only difference was that I got a static smiley on my CB and the standard OPK dipped into the same urine showed what looked almost like a positive but not quite. I got another static smiley the day after and the standard OPK strip was blazing positive this time. When I compared the tests, the test line on each one was a die stealer, so both were super dark. I've taken both days as positives so not quite sure how many DPO it makes me now.

I wouldn't say it has given me more reassurance as only measuring BBT would do that I think. I think using one is enough but I preferred the easy way of reading the CB one as opposed to the premom strips which were up and down

I got peak on clear blue this morning. The top cheap was last night. The bottom cheapie was late morning today. So my cheapie normally gives me a heads up I'm about to get peak.

What would you class as 'an almost positive' when it's not quite as dark as the control line?

I am guessing the cheapies may be more sensitive? Do you normally wait for peak before trying?

@Ttchelp1 exactly that! What I called the almost positive one is the one on top here and the following 2 are definitely positive, were even darker in real life. Attached pics to compare the 2 tests. Got positive on CD19 on clearblue and not quite on other OPKs, got blazing positives on both on cd20

Ignore where it says peak & high in the clearblue, that's not accurate

Ok thanks. Do you wait until they are equally dark as the control line before ttc?

@Ttchelp1 if you can you should ttc before ovulation, during and after to increase your chances. I wouldn't wait until you get a positive as it might be too late by that point/ your chances decrease. But you can try that if that works best for you. Every 2-3 days during your fertile week (when you start getting highs) and through ovulation should be enough

@Ttchelp1 I generally try and put a couple of sessions in before hand. And as my cheapie starts getting darker I then go for it and try to do day before, peak and then day after. But it doesn't always work out like that
