Just saw this news and has cheered me up! I think it was natural from what I read. Gives me hope as been trying for years and I am the same age

Thought I'd share to give others hope

Did she actually say it was a natural conception?

She said it was unexpected.

Yes "unexpected" could also easily mean "we did IVF with very low chance of it succeeding and it worked"

I was shocked she was 44 and also Christine lampard was over 40 too!

"unexpected" having had fertility treatment would be pretty disingenuous.

Lots of people have babies in their forties, it's nothing new. I've known quite a few and when I was a child their were children whose mothers had had them late (mums not always pleased about it but when the child was born, the baby of the family, they were really loved).

I'm pleased for Alex Jones if she is pleased but it isn't a unique experience. She does have a four year old already.

Conceiving naturally at 44 is unusual but not so rare that I would leap to assuming it must be IVF. My sil conceived her only at 45.

I conceived naturally at 45 and had a straightforward pregnancy and delivery, giving birth to my last DC when I had just turned 46. I did suffer some pregnancy loss in my 40s before this though.

I’m 44 and 32 weeks pregnant with 3rd child, conceived naturally. Hope this gives you hope too. X
