This is my first two week wait and it’s driving me bonkers. I’m currently trying for baby#2 and I’m 7 DPO. I’m going to test with a First response in about 3 days but the days are going soooo long. With my last baby I wasn’t tracking it was our first try but I had just come off the pill and hadn’t even got a period yet so wasn’t expecting much but I knew I was pregnant when (I estimate it was about 7DPO )I got a lot of CM and food aversions I just knew then and about 4 days later I got my BFP.... this month I have symptoms but similar to PMS. Anyone else currently in limbo ? 🙈🤞🏻

@Hopefulhedgehog it’s also cycle 3 for me! How cool. I haven’t tested until the day of my missed period in the past but Sunday feels so far away!!

So will you take a test tomorrow? I’m tempted to wait until Wednesday/Thursday and see what happens then... I know what you mean though, the closer it gets, the more symptom spotting I am doing and possibly more disappointment ... gah so hard to know!

All the best for you tomorrow I hope you get your BFP! 🤞🤞🤞

TTC94 · 22/03/2021 17:40

According to my apps, my period is/was due yesterday, today or tomorrow. I tested today and yesterday, both very, very negative.

I feel like I’m getting slight af twinges now. Even though I didn’t expect to fall pregnant again after just having a miscarriage (which took 11 cycles to happen) I’m so bloody depressed that I’m not. I feel more miserable and sad than I expected to. I just feel like it’s never going to happen for me...

I really am wallowing in my own self-pity and feeling emotionally very low. Any advice on how to get myself out of this whole? I’d probably say after 12 months of TTC now and having had a miscarriage, I’m at the lowest point I could be (aside from having another miscarriage of course).

I just feel like giving up and accepting that my husband and I will never have a child...

For those of you who are still waiting and are quite soon into your tww, I hope the days go quickly for you and that you have some good news soon!

Xx

hole not whole*

MrsGee20 · 22/03/2021 17:59

@TTC94 I am sending you a HUGE hug first of all! I’m only on cycle 3 and can’t understand what you’ve been through at all. So sorry about your miscarriage.

What I will say is I know friends who have taken 12/18 months to get pregnant but are now either happy mummy’s or my other friend is now 6 months pregnant! So please don’t give up hope.

Can you run a bubble bath, listen to a podcast or read a book? Just chill in your dressing gown and relax. Maybe get your dressing gown/towel on the radiator for coming out of the bath! I highly recommend the podcast Shagged, married, annoyed by Chris & Rosie Ramsey, it makes me laugh sooo much!!!

TTC94 · 22/03/2021 18:03

@MrsGee20

Thank you so much for your kindness. I really appreciate it!

I’m going to get into my comfies, eat a comforting meal and try to unwind.

The thought of another cycle of af, ovulation, tww etc is just so draining and makes me want to give up!

Thanks for the podcast recommendation and for the positive stories from your friends’ experiences.
I will take a listen to the podcast, perhaps through the car on my drive to work!

Wishing you luck for your tww!

Xx

I got the old "when are you having a baby?!" From the MIL today.. 🤦 How don't women realise it's more difficult than flicking a switch that says 'pregnant' / 'not pregnant' arghhh! We are wanting to keep it just between the two of us until 12 weeks if we do get lucky, really dont want anyone to know we are trying and don't see why we should have to tell anyone either.. Still a week to go too 😐

TTC94 · 22/03/2021 18:23

@Mrsmujic it’s so frustrating isn’t it?!

I get the same from practically everyone in my husband’s family.

I’m on the verge of telling losing my temper concerning it because it is increasingly pissing me off - so insensitive and unnecessary.

Sending you positivity and good luck xx

Mrsmujic · 22/03/2021 18:30

@TTC94 i know!! Little does she know we've been trying since last June! Then if I do get lucky the 1st 3 months would consist of 'why don't you want a glass of wine?! Are you pregnant??' haha!!!

Soexciting · 22/03/2021 19:00

I can tentatively say this is a lucky thread... I a squinter at 11dpo

Anyone else currently on the two week wait ?
Hopefulhedgehog · 22/03/2021 19:04

@Soexciting I see it and I can honestly NEVER see squinters! Huge congrats!

Soexciting · 22/03/2021 19:07

I never understood how hard it was to take a picture of a faint line until today Blush

xoJellyBean · 22/03/2021 19:07

5dpo here 🤪 going crazyyyyy

@Soexciting congrats!!

ottie27 · 22/03/2021 19:11

@Soexciting I see it too!! Congratulations!!

Feeling a few more symptoms / figments of my imagination today too, so I’m hoping you’re right about it being a lucky thread! I’m not sure I will hold out til Wednesday... may well end up testing tomorrow!

Rockape1992 · 22/03/2021 19:25

@Soexciting huge congratulations I will keep everything crossed that it develops into a nice healthy strong positive for you. So lovely to have some positive news already on this thread.

@TTC94 I’m so sorry you’ve had such a hard time of it but try not to give up hope. There is still every chance that you will have a child even if it turns out to be a more difficult journey than you hoped for or anticipated. When you do finally get to hold your baby in your arms it will make all of this heartbreak worthwhile. A close friend of mine had a similar experience to you, she had a miscarriage about 9 months into ttc and then nothing for another year. She was on the verge of giving up when it happened! I know that that’s a cliche and it doesn’t happen for everyone but I just wanted to try and give you some hope. This is one of the hardest things we can do as women. We’re biologically programmed to want children but when it doesn’t happen, no one can truly understand the heartbreak and agony it causes. Take time for some self care. I’m not sure if it’s possible at the moment with lockdown but I highly recommend acupuncture as a relaxation method. It has also been suggested to aid conception but I think it’s benefits when ttc and dealing with the stress it causes, are amazing all on its own. Sending you love and hugs x

FinnsMammy · 22/03/2021 19:33

@Soexciting that’s amazing !! Congrats I think I will wait till DPO 11 to test too feels like a lucky number ☘️*@TTC94 sorry you’re feeling so down but @MrsGee20* gave you some great advice I think you need to look after yourself and believe it will happen when it’s meant to and don’t give up home yet you are still in with a chance this month stay positive xx

MrsGee20 · 22/03/2021 21:32

@Soexciting that is amazing, I can definitely see it! Keep us updated over the next few days 😍😍 so happy for you!

Sending love to everyone having a tough time with this. I was saying to my husband this evening that I never thought it’d be like this! We were due to get married last May but got postponed due to Covid & so we had to put off trying till January (we got married late December). I couldn’t wait to start trying and so happy we’re able to now after what felt like a long wait but it’s way more stressful than I anticipated.

Baby dust and positive vibes everyone. Night night ✨ 💖

2018isanewyear · 22/03/2021 21:52

Can I tentatively join please we are not officially try however we are no longer preventing.

Ttc no2 ds is 18months, last time I fell after 3 cycles which ended in mc at 8 weeks and then took another 12months to fall with ds although really was actively trying for about 8 of those months due to not feeling ready. We put so much pressure on it last time that we are trying to take a more relaxed approach... how long that will last for I don't know Blush

Currently cycle 3 of not preventing 8dpo af due Sunday

2018isanewyear · 22/03/2021 21:57

Sorry should add not using opks so that's an estimate

ottie27 · 23/03/2021 06:38

How’s everyone doing this morning?

I caved and tested.... might might might have the very very faintest of squinters. DP says he sees nothing though. Spoil sport!

FinnsMammy · 23/03/2021 07:25

@2018isanewyear we are in sinc I’m also due Sunday for AF. 9DPO today but I also have an 18 month old son born September 17 2019! @ottie27 that’s promising how many days DPO are you? X I’m going to test at 11 DPO I think🤞🏻🤞🏻😬

TTC94 · 23/03/2021 07:27

Morning all,

I am out for the month now. My period arrived overnight.

Onto month 13 of TTC#1 in April then...

Wishing you all luck for the remainder of your two week wait! It would be nice to see some hope for the rest of us!

Xx

ottie27 · 23/03/2021 07:29

@FinnsMammy I’m not sure exactly as couldn’t quite pinpoint ovulation and I have 3 apps all saying different things, but I’m guessing I’m about 9 dpo as well so realistically probably too early. I know that realistically I need to wait a few more days before I test again, but knowing it and doing it are two different things!

ottie27 · 23/03/2021 07:31

So sorry to hear this @TTC94. Really hope next month is your month x

Hopefulhedgehog · 23/03/2021 07:32

So sorry AF has arrived @TTC94. Hope you can regroup over the next couple of weeks and get ready for another cycle. It must be really tough. Xx

Amyc94 · 23/03/2021 07:39

@Soexciting eeek your name says it all 👏🏼 so happy for you! Amazing news
