Anyone had low bbt in early pregnancy and gone on to have healthy birth?

Hello ladies,

I feel I've been spamming a bit today. BBT chart attached.

I have been TTC nearly 8 months. 'Period' came and I ordered OvuSense, fine and dandy.

THEN I noticed some ewcm and tested thinking early ovulation and it ended up being bfp.

However, I bled a 'normal' amount for my period with some slight changes and my BBT chart looks like it was my period (attached)

I've got appointment at EPU on Tuesday but it's already been a couple of days and I'm tearing my hair out.

Anyone gone through similar and NOT had a miscarriage? Or anyone gone through a similar loss?

I know I'm obsessing but Tuesday just seems a long way off.

How many DPO are you (or will you be on Tuesday)?

With my first I had a big bleed at 5 weeks (and actually 8 and 11 also). The pregnancy was otherwise fine and I had a healthy baby.

CycloGoose · 18/03/2021 17:12

Thank you @EmbarrassingMama that's helpful.
I am currently 19dpo will be 24dpo on Tuesday or 4+6 and 5+4. Heavy bleed was 12dpo which is consistent with my average luteal phase but I can sort of argue that was heavy implantation.

What I can't get around is this low temperature.

I keep saying prepare for the worst, hope for the best but I'm finding it hard.

Glad to hear you had a lovely healthy baby xxxx

Let us know how you get on, I have a similar chart this month - strangely low temps past a definite ovulation. Fingers crossed for you!

@CycloGoose are your tests getting progressively darker? The reason I ask is that I had a normal 'period' then a bfp and sadly had a chemical at 25 dpo but my tests never got beyond a faint line on a frer and and absolute squinter on a cheapy so I knew something might be up. I think bbt can fluctuate a lot. I did lots of research and saw lots of people going on to have healthy pregnancies after what they thought was a period so my fingers are crossed for you. Another thing I was warned about is possible ectopic so keep your eyes out for any symptoms.

Hi @LondonladyTTC really sorry for your loss. It's hard isn't it. I'm not sure is it still chemical at 25dpo?

I should be 5 and 3 today. I had a very strong line on Saturday but it's lighter again now and only 1-2 weeks still on clear blue so I think I'm about to start bleeding again.

I'm keeping an eye out for ectopic symptoms and I have had some so I'm going to speak to doc again this afternoon to see if it's still ok to wait until tomorrow. Don't have the shoulder tip pain but very dizzy and left side only pains.
Just putting off going to the loo. I've put a sanitary towel on but I'll be teaching solidly for next 2 hours so hoping it's not too heavy when it comes.

Will be thinking of you @CycloGoose and hoping for the best. Do let us know how you get on. It sounds like you're tests are way more conclusive than mine were though which is very positive.

I bled two weeks after my initial period and it was just like a normal period and not too painful. Upsetting after the initial excitement though and quite scary when experiencing it for the first time not knowing what to expect Sad I think you might be right about the chemical point as google says anything over 5 weeks is a miscarriage not a chemical.

Timings look like they will be really similar to yours @LondonladyTTC so thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it. Sorry, I was a bit of a mess today.
I'm hoping it's similar to you and just like a normal period as such. I think I can cope with that just about.
Was this recently for you? I'm wondering how long it might take to get back to normal.
I don't know if my tests were more conclusive. I took so many. I didn't believe it, then I got a bit excited but I never really let it sink in properly.
I wish you so much luck on your journey xxx

@CycloGoose sorry to hear that you ended up in a&e. I did too after calling 111 because I was so worried about ectopic, it's such a distressing experience. Did you get a scan? HCG of 28 doesn't necessarily mean bad news- it's still within the normal range for under 6 weeks. Are they retesting it in 48 hours to see if it doubles?

Your tests are far darker than mine ever was - attached.

Mine happened in October 2020 and had quite an odd cycle straight afterwards, ovulating very early on CD7 but back to normal straight afterwards. Sadly still TTC but have been diagnosed with a luteal phase defect (less than 10 days which impacts implantation) and recently started receiving treatment so feeling more positive.

My fingers are crossed for you and if you need to chat, I am here!

Thanks @londonladyttc I'm sorry it's been such a long and complicated journey for you. Glad you have started to get some treatment. Are they giving you cyclogest? I'm worried about my LP also but it's been just on the borderline.
Gosh. Thank you for digging out your old photo. That must have been a little painful.
Just to piss me off, my temperature has gone up this morning. It's more that they started getting lighter on Sunday.
The doc did say 23 is in the normal range but I think if I've been getting lighter tests, that indicates it's going down not up.
I still have to go to EPU today for transvaginal scan which I'm obviously thrilled about 🤦🏼‍♀️
I really don't think I can face school this morning. Though I'm sure having to put on my poker face would actually be good for me.

Hope you're ok OP!

Hey @CycloGoose how did you end up going with all this? I am currently going through a very similar thing, had my period as normal last week and now get multiple BFP, I am waiting to hear about blood test to see what my levels are.
