My cycle has thrown me for a loop this time. Ovulated at CD 21/22 and I’m now on CD 34 with a negative pregnancy test and no AF. My cycles have been 32 days but I usually O around day 20. Could the late ovulation be pushing things back? I’m so tired, emotional and sore and it’s coming up to one year since we lost our baby.

Also, I do OPK so I know that's when I had my peak.

I learned a few weeks ago that apparently your ovulation day can change but the length of your luteal phase generally stays the same. So if you usually ov CD20 and your cycle length is 32 days, I'd expect that if you ovulated CD22 this cycle, your cycle length will be 34 days.

Not sure how true this is as I havent 'fact checked' it but it has made sense for me personally with my last 2 cycles.

@madeinthe80z that's true.
Being late for a period would mean that your luteal phase is longer than normal. So if yours is 12 days and you ovulated 1 day later than normal, your period would be a day later than normal, lengthening your cycle by one day. Vice versa if you ovulate ob cd 19, your period wouldn't be one day 'early', it would only be ovulation one day early.

Ugh. So I'm likely out and just waiting for AF? :-(

I'd say that's likely sorry 😒 however there is always room for hope until AF actually arrives! Fingers crossed for you x

I would not give up on this cycle just yet. Are you going by positive OPK or by actual confirmed ovulation? It might still be too early for a positive pregnancy test if you go by OPK.

Positive OPK...so it's very likely I'm not out...

Just have zero hope anymore :-(
