14dpo and still getting faint lines

Hi everyone, I think im around 14dpo since I track with OPK's. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I'm not usually due on for another few days, cycles are all over the place. I've been testing since Tuesday and have gone from barely there, is there/isn't there lines the camera can't pick up to there is a line but it's not a proper line yet. I have been able to take pics of these (albeit the lines are darker in person and still awkward to photograph).

I'm worried the lines aren't as dark as they should be by now. I've been ttc since my one and only pregnancy ended in a chemical July 2019. I've taken around 5 different brands of tests and had faint lines on all of them that show within the correct time frame so I cant see it being evap lines.

Anyone had any experiences like this? Or gone on to get darker lines?

I'm also new and can't figure out how to add pics if someone can help with that 🙈

Hi @Leahlouxx , in order to see progression you need to use the same brand of tests, ideally every couple of days. As different brands have different sensitivity. I personally recommend first response.

Also, you can't add photos until you have been a member for 48 hours.

Good luck ☺️

Aww thank you for letting me know 😊

@Leahlouxx I agree with @lockdownbabyx it's good that many brands show it like you said unlikely to be an evap but to see the progression use the same brand and type of test to compare as all have different sensitive and dye amounts

I think you have to wait 24/48 hours to post a pic unless you can upload somewhere and post the link

lockdownbabyx · 13/03/2021 18:21

@Leahlouxx if you don't want to get first response (as they're more expensive) I'd def recommend tests with red dye. The blue dye ones ie clear blue, are notorious for evaps. Xx

Thanks girls, I've got some first responses in the mail but might just stick to one brand of cheapies then to track progression 🤞🤞

These were all taken from the same pot of urine they are all different strengths.

The cheapies are both the same brand but ones a wide strip and the other not.

@Leahlouxx just don't panic if they don't darken the cheap ones tended to not really show much of a progression for me, at least not over a shorter period of time

Leahlouxx · 13/03/2021 19:47

Mad how the two cheapies look so different!

I never realised that hcg takes 2-3 days to double, I thought it was 24 hours so I've been panicking testing everyday 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
