Heavy-ish bleeding with clots - implantation or early period?

Hi, I am currently in the tww of my first cycle ttc as a single mum by choice, via IUI using donor sperm. I have a blood clotting disorder so I am on heparin injections daily. I got the LH surge on the afternoon of day 12 of my cycle (Monday 22nd), so I had the insemination the following day and I’m assuming I ovulated that day (although I suppose it could possibly have been early on day 14 maybe??). I started testing on 10dpo, and have been testing am and pm (all bfn so far).

Yesterday evening (11dpo) I had a bit of spotting and I got really excited thinking it must have been implantation bleeding. Then I woke at about 2am for a wee only to find there was a fair bit more bleeding, and today it has continued. I have had quite strong ‘period’ cramps since yesterday afternoon. I have had quite a bit of bleeding today, staring off sort of watery red, mixed with some brown. Then later today there was a clot and now it feels a bit more period-like. It seems unusual for me as if this is my period, it would make my last cycle 24 days, which I’ve never had before. But it also feels too heavy to be implantation bleeding (from what I’ve read anyway - I’ve never been pregnant before so never experienced it). Has anyone ever had anything similar? Quite a bit of blood and clotting and go on to get a bfp?

I know the only answer is to keep taking tests, but I’m getting myself quite worked up to be honest!! I know IUI has a low success rate, but I was experiencing a few symptoms which made me feel like it could have worked, but now I’m worried my body was playing tricks on me. So I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to me please (preferably with a good outcome!) Smile
