TTC (trying to conceive), first time, second cycle

Hi guys, TTC first baby, I am on my second cycle. AF is late but tests are coming back negative... hate this waiting game and I've only just started. baby dust to all you lovely ladies

I missed my actual ovulation day as we were both worn out 😄🤣😂

I'm at 3 weeks of symptoms and no AF but spotting for last few days. No idea what's going on and so bored of it all already! 😂🙈 I'm already thinking maybe another dog would be easier than a baby! 😂😂😂

@Nattie33xx ohhhh fingers crossed! I'm just waiting for my af to leave then it's the run up to ovulation next week. I'm so hoping it's 3rd cycle lucky

Has the tests Still not come up positive? Maybe get a blood pregnancy test from the doctors gig? Thank you brodie good luck on your 3rd cycle, I've heard 3rd month of trying is quite popular for conceiving 🤞

We've got two border collies. They're a lot of fun and kept us going through lockdown. I don't think I could cope with a third though! 😂. I've had a blood test yesterday so hoping for results today. My spotting is getting heavier slowly over last few days so maybe it is turning into my period. 🤷‍♀️

@hsx8 I'm 32, and on day 4 of cycle 2. AF this week was about 5 days later than I expected (but it's such early days after the pill that my estimate could have been waaaay off!). It's so easy to get your hopes up when this happens! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you though.

@gigchic cute! I have a lab and he's nuts. Kept me sane wfh. I treat him like a big baby and he has no experience with kids so I always wonder what he will be like when we eventually have a baby. Did you get your results?

@BrodieKD oooh I'd love a lab. Our collies both came off local farms and ones deaf but we love their work ethic and energy. Ours associate kids with play time which is good and they've been around friends babies. If we are lucky enough to get pregnant I think the dogs will be best buddies with the kid. I can't wait.

I did get results and went in to doctors for exam- bloods were negative and the spotting has turned into my period this evening but he did a full MOT and referred me for a scan to check the egg hasn't left a cyst behind that's causing the pain this week. He thinks I was probably in very early stages of pregnancy but effectively miscarried before I got a positive test. So hormones are all over the place and period is really weird. Also he said to buy buscopan for IBS as it's safe to use if pregnant and helps with the cramping better than paracetamol.

Hi girls, just wondering if you think testing at 9dpo is too early to test ? Not sure just to wait until af but it's so hard waiting 😫 Thanks 😊

@Nattie33xx I'd say 9dpo is a bit early... the longer you wait the less chance of false negative and also better chance of strong positive if you can wait until you think period is late. If you start getting any symptoms then it would be hard to resist! I've decided I'm only doing a test if my period is late. Spent so much money on last cycle when I was having loads of symptoms and turned out negative in the end I'm not doing that again! Xx

I did the same Last month tested everyday until period started lol what was I thinking 🤔 😆 I did do a test this morning and I got a evap line (white line then turned pink) it happened on my last cycle, that was abit upsetting as it looked positive! I will wait until period day before I test again 😌

It's my first month of TTC #1, which took me a min to understand what that stood for 😂 I'm 29 and my wedding has been cancelled twice, so we're hoping to see if we get lucky before we get married next summer. I have to say after reading the comments I might be a bit naive hoping it will happen in the first 3 tries. I'm trying to be relaxed about having sex as some of our friends who have been trying for 2+ years are saying it's not enjoyable anymore, but I am monitoring my ovulation on an app. I hope we manage to get pregnant quick but who knows. I'm routing for all of you out there that it happens soon for you, it must be so frustrating and disappointing when the test says negative.

How is everyone getting on? My cycle is different this month so I don't even think I've ovulated yet. Got flashing smilies until Sunday then ran out 😬 trying to dtd every day so 🤞 what stage is everyone else at?

It took me ages to work out what abbreviations meant. I'm using the Flo app to track my ovulation. I'm going to start using ovulation sticks the clear blue ones from next month. I used cheaper ones but couldn't identify when I was ovulating with them. What app are you using?

I'm using the Flo app too. It's really good I like it. I haven't had enough cycles for it to pin point exact ovulation day, so if I haven't conceived this month deffo start on strips next one alongside the app.

No look last cycle so hoping 3rd time lucky 🙏 I use flo too! Going to try preseed and hopefully dtd actually on ovulation day instead of days before as I've missed it first 2 cycles. Good luck everyone x

I started using premom OPK and app (Amazon) this month after my cycle got so messed up last month and I've ovulated really late for a normal cycle so I think this cycle will be long again- or I'll have a very short luteal phase. But I'm 2DPO now so here goes the waiting game again!!! 😂😫🤯. I'm a lot more chilled now having gone through what I went through last month with it being month 1 of TCC#1! Month 2 is not gona be as stressful I've told my self!

Also is anyone else wondering how they are going to muster up the potential patience needed for this conceiving thing?! 😂

I am currently 2dpo in cycle 1 of ttc #1. We wanted the start of ttc to be exciting so just trying to go with the flow for the first few months (not sure how long I will feel this chilled about it though!) Nice to find others in the same boat

I'm on cd10, blank circle on my clearblue opk today. Our plan is to dtd every day from now (tho might have to miss tomorrow since we have my partners sister staying) and then on the days I get positive opk we are going to try fertility lube.
I get married on Saturday so hopefully we're not too tired after!

Yes I'm more relaxed this month - it helps that I'm not sure if last months drama has effected ovulation this month so I'd be surprised if I ovulated. My BBT did the normal jump it does after ovulation but I'm just looking forward to the fact that if my period comes I can have a glass of wine! 😂

So I had plain circle on clearblue ovulation test on Thursday and then it went straight to static smiley on Friday. Not sure why I missed the flashing smiley. First month I had 2 flashing days, second month only 1 flashing and now none lol.

Now we wait, Ovia app says 11 days until pregnancy test.
