Spotting then faint BFP on day AF due

Hello,

Has anyone had similar? I had spotting start 3 days ago - a mix of brown and pink (a touch of red). Woke up today with nothing, so took a test and faint BFP.

I know to wait and test in a few days to be sure :) but was just wondering if anyone has any positive stories who have gone through similar. I guess it could be a chemical?

Thank you!

I have had 2 chemical pregnancies and both started with spotting for 4 days followed by a heavy bleed. For me I got a faint positive which got fainter.
Keep testing to see what happens, fingers crossed for you x

When in your cycle did the spotting start, it could be implantation.

Annoyingly I don't know when I ovulated as didn't use Opks and my cycles have been irregular since I stopped breastfeeding.

My app says today is predicted AF day 31 and spotting started 11Dpo. If I went by my EWCM it could have started 8dpo and today might just be 12dpo.

I'll just wait and test in a couple of days if I don't have any more bleeding

Hopefully it was implantation then if it has stopped.
The spotting from my chemical pregnancies stopped and started over 4 days x

Thank you @Annannanna fingers crossed it sticks but I'll just wait and see X

I've got the exact same problem at the problem at the moment. Spotting for the 3rd day very lightly in the days my period is due but it hasn't developed into my period...yet! No real pregnancy symptoms - fully expecting my period so I'm going to wait before purchasing a test! X

🙄 Excuse the repeating of myself 😂

DoveGreylove · 03/03/2021 11:42

Good luck @FayLivvie! I hope you get your bfp. Fingers crossed the spotting doesn't turn into anything more! Probably best to wait as long as you can as it won't change anything but sometimes it's hard to resist!

Ah thank you. Good luck with everything 🥰 I am pretty sure I am actually just slightly late because I have been taking pregnacare and I've heard it can slightly mess up your cycle. I was fine last month but it may have elongated this months. I can't remember any spotting with my last pregnancy but then again I wasnt trying' to conceive like I am now so was perhaps oblivious 😂

I took another test yesterday evening - an early predictor - and it came up a strong positive. I took another test this morning (a normal cheapy ) and it's come up very faint. I can only assume I ovulated a little later than my app predicted and my period might not even be due yet hence the faint test results on some?

I guess it's just a waiting game now and see what happens. I'll try to refrain from testing for a few days Blush and see if my period comes. I'm now paranoid this could just end up as a chemical as I've tested earlier than I should have done. That spotting confused me!
