How did you all find your cycles after coming off the pill?

I have been off the pill since 10th Jan, I had my first proper af 28 days later but I hadn't had a positive on ovulation sticks. I did however get sore boobs etc in the 2nd half of the month so assume I did ovulate. This month I'm on cd21 and have had 11 days of flashing smileys on the clearblue advanced but still not peaked and have no signs of ovulation yet (no egg white mucus).

I'm just wondering what all of your experiences were when coming off the pill as I'm driving myself mad worrying which I know won't help the situation. I was on the pill for 17 years!

I was on the pill for 8 years and came off beginning of November. 4 days later I had a withdrawal bleed for around 4 days and then mid November I had a proper bleed.
Completely missed my period in December! Also didn't ovulate and then jan 4th everything went back to normal 😊
I got pregnant in February but sadly ended in chemical, sadly I think it's down to not giving my body enough time to effectively recover from being on it for such a long time

I am just starting my second cycle off the pill. Last month was a 32 day cycle with ovulation approx cd18 so I imagine that’s relatively normal, though I can’t really remember what it was like before I went on the pill. Who knows if it will be the same this month though!

I also had loads of flashing smileys last month. After 11 days of flashing smileys I stopped testing as assumed I had missed ovulation, but then tested again on a whim a day later and had static smiley. I was really annoyed I had stopped testing as I didn’t know whether I would have had peak smiley on the day I missed or not!

Thank you for giving me some hope that this month may just be an odd one while my body sorts itself out

I came off the pill in march 2020, had withdrawal bleed quickly. Then:
141 day cycle, no ovulation detected.
Next cycle ovulated CD33 and conceived
Miscarried at 12 weeks, surgery at 14 weeks
Took 9 weeks more to get a period back
Now I'm CD40 with no ovulation - I no longer think this is to do with the pill and more wonder if there is something wrong underlying it

Experts say the pill can mess up cycles for up to a year after you stop it. If they are still irregular by 6month after, I'd be asking your gp for tests

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm really sorry to read how tough it has been for you. I will keep an eye on my cycles.

I have also finally hit my peak on cd23 I just needed to be a bit more patient! It's so hard to be though!
