Positive early detection - waiting is excruciating!!

Hi all,
My first post. Partner and I have been trying for a couple of months. Did a clearblue early detection test on Saturday morning (11dpo) and it had a faint line. But I've seen so many things about clearblue giving false positives 😕 my breasts have felt tender the last few days, but this usually happens a few days before my period anyway, though I would say they feel more painful and 'swollen' than usual. I'm due on on Thursday so it's only a few days but I feel like I can't think of anything else and my partner doesn't want me to do any more tests 😬 so I'm on here, so I can talk about it somewhere I know there will be people who understand! Thanks for any responses x

Hey, false positives are very rare! Try a FRER. Fingers crossed for you x
BrodieKD · 01/03/2021 14:17

@sdw19 fingers crossed for you! The wait feels like a lifetime. I'm 8dpo and I can't think of anything else. Let us know once you have tested again x

Timetobeamummy · 01/03/2021 14:25

@sdw19 I recommend FRER as well I have heard they are much more reliable in the early stages

sdw19 · 01/03/2021 15:38

Thanks all :) I'd always thought false positives were really rare but just seen so many things where people have said about getting them, especially with clearblue. Of course the most likely cause is a chemical pregnancy so I suppose I'm just worried that having got that result my hopes are up and to get a negative after will be awful. Consequence to early testing I suppose. Just sucks to not be able to think about anything else and my partner is just 'wait and see' and doesn't want to listen to my every thought about symptoms 😂 so I'm just going between convinced I'm pregnant and doubting it and not really being able to talk to someone about it. I am also the most impatient person!! Will update x

Update
Well af due today and no sign yet but got these this morning with FMU so thinking maybe the cb was false positive/indent line or it's chemical. Breast pain has lessened, though my right breast hurts more than my left. Ugh, so frustrating, i was so convinced because of the breast pain. Like I said, I usually get a bit of tenderness a few days before my period but this was so much more than ever before, and boobs were tingly and felt swollen so I was just really expecting a positive result. Good luck to all of you trying x

I did a clear blue digital and it didn't work properly and I cracked it open and there was 2 lines on the test strip I'm now wondering if it's positive or not

Couldn't answer that sorry, but the advice you'll get from everywhere is to wait a few days and test again. Good luck x

Or test again tomorrow with FMU if it didn't work
