Wait until after vaccine for baby number 2?

So we are wanting to try for baby number 2. DS is nearly 4.
I'm inclined to wait until the autumn when I've had the vaccine, and I can get pregnant and bring a baby into the world that's near normal.
Would you let the pandemic decide when you start trying? Or would you carry on regardless?

Hi, I've thought about this but I'm 39 and we're trying for our first, so time is not on our side. I'm likely not to be offered the vaccine until much later this year, but who knows, we might still be trying then.

I'm going to be trying for my 1st the end of the year and will be offered the vaccine because of my work and I'm very torn, I'm not against the vaccine but there is so many unknowns on if it would effect fertility that it has me second guessing if I should get it. There's so little data on it obviously because it's so new it makes me nervous

Unless you have underlying health conditions or have ethnic origins that may mean you are higher risk, then I would crack on personally.
We don't know where we will be by the Autumn, you may have been vaccinated but there may be a new variant etc etc etc .
Don't put your life on hold without very good reason.

I am pregnant and have just been offered the vaccine and was gutted to have to turn it down but weighing up the pros and cons (I am very low risk for serious complications and was offered it because of my job), it was a no-brainer. I think that they recommend that you don't have it even if you are thinking of TTC because they just don't know so you'd have to wait a while AFTER having it to start TTC. Like PP has said, I'd just crack on unless you are vulnerable in which case they recommend having the vaccine either way.
