Twinges and mild cramps after TTC

Hi all, I hope you are well! I came off the pill in October and this was my first month using OPKs to try and conceive, but I kept getting a flashing smiley and it was all quite stressful, so I was unable to really pinpoint exactly when I ovulated. Hubby and I BDed every day/every other day to cover our bases anyways. I spoke to my GP who told me that OPKs can often be unreliable and miss things, so I will use other methods of charting next month too if needed.

AF is due on the 19th/20th of feb (31 day cycle) but for 3 days I’ve been having a pulling feeing and mild cramps over my lower abdomen on the left side, and slightly sore breasts. I’ve never felt anything like it before and I wanted to find out if anyone else had. It’s not extremely painful, but uncomfortable on and off and I can notice the weird feeling. I normally only get some PMS cramping a couple of days before my period. I am 26 and have never been pregnant before, so really want to find out what people think. Thanks so much in advance!

Sounds like ovulation cramps.

Yep sounds like ovulation pains.

Thanks both, I’ve never had ovulation cramps before so this is new to me!

You probably have but I think it’s only when you’re TTC and paying attention to your body that you notice them properly.

Pinkblueberry · 11/02/2021 16:38

And if you’ve been on the pill for a while it might have been a while since you felt it!

Yes that’s probably true. I was on the pill for over 4 years, so I’m hoping my body adjusts back to normal soon 😊
