Anyone with success 6 months + of TTC?

I’m on cycle 6 of TTC with my partner and in the dreaded two week wait. Throughout our journey so far, I’ve been tracking my ovulation and have very regular cycles with my opk peaks and my period the same time every month.

Given this consistency I’m starting to worry there might be something else wrong, and that’s why I’ve not had any success yet getting my positive.

Any ladies out there who have had success getting pregnant after 6 months of ttc, even with regular ovulation tracking? I trying to keep positive that this can just take time 🙏 (I’m 31 so hoping age isn’t too much of a factor).

I got a BFP yesterday after 18 months TTC!
I’m 26 and partner 28.

We had some testing done after a year and all showed normal, consultant said can take up to two years for perfectly health people so don’t lose hope. 💕

Good luck OP.

10 months TTC for DD6 (I was 27).
Then 12 months TTC - ended in miscarriage.
Then 12 months TTC - chemical pregnancy.

Was about to look into why it wasn’t happening for us. Had dye to check my tubes - seemed fine. We decided to take a break from TTC as had a big holiday and my sister’s wedding to travel to - and bang, happened that month, we DTD once - I was 32. DS is now asleep on me, he’s 10 weeks old.

Best wishes to you OP. I know that each month feels like forever. But statistically, it can take 12 months for couples with no issues at all. Try not to lose hope, I know it’s hard.

And congratulations previous poster after 18 months of trying!

I came off the pill a year ago. I've been tracking my cycles and We've been trying for the last 6 months and still nothing. I've been tracking BBT and this month I've added in OPKs as didn't want it to become too planned.
It makes me worry something is wrong. But heard it can take some couples over a year to conceive.

Good luck! I know how difficult it can be. The OPKs are a good idea!

TTC since July 2019 when I was turning 29. Had an ectopic in October 2020 and finally got a bfp in Jan 2021 and have my 12 week scan 6th March.

I have very regular cycles too so couldn’t understand why it was happening. The month we did fall I had two weeks off work over ovulation and the week after, we had sex everyday for a week over my fertile window. Also used ferti-lily cup, took myova insitol tablets and put on some weight (was classed as underweight for bmi).

Good luck!

Took me just under a year, I'm now 17 weeks pregnant. The month I fell was the first month I had managed to get my ferritin levels under control, I didn't know till after that apparently that can be a factor in not being able to conceive. Might be worth checking!

I was cycle 7. Also ovulation tracking but found this meant having sex was starting to feel a bit forced and when we moved to just having regular sex across the month we got lucky. Good luck

@becca3210 - thanks! That does make me feel better. I think next month we're going to forgo the ovulation tracking and just have sex throughout. It is definitely starting to feel like a scheduled task.

@Alicespring - thats really interesting! Did you get ferritin testing with your GP?

@km1990
Yes I did, I had asked for my iron to be tested as I thought I was anemic (heavy periods) and so tired all the time. Turned out I wasn't anemic but my ferritin was low at 6 (I think optimum is over 100), got put on iron tablets and hey presto! Could all be a giant coincidence though but both times I fell pregnant I had been on iron tablets.

Good plan. Starting earlier in the cycle seemed to help so every few days or so depending on how you are feeling from when your period ends
