TWW anybody?

Hi guys! I believe I ovulated today (CD14) after I got a static smiley on my OPK yesterday evening, this was after a flashy smiley in the morning! We DTD last night and now comes the start of the dreaded two week wait! Does any one fancy driving themselves crazy with symptom spotting and trying to to take a test too early with me? 🤣

@Babyboom93 welcome! Last month was my first Month , so month 2 now, fingers crossed 🤞!!

@BCM2021 oh my god, you know what, I read that somewhere and now I've checked you are right, you can reuse it. I bought a new one last month! ffs haha. It says on their website you can reuse, so ignore, I have no idea what I'm doing lol. I'm not sure what that means then if you have a static smiley again, in my instructions it just says if you try to test again after peak it won't be able to read the test, maybe then that your LH levels are high still after ovulation?
Well, at least if I'm not pregnant this month at least I have 11 tests left as I have only used 9 in total over 2 cycles.

@teateaandcoffee god knows lol! I rang CB helpline who said you can use the holder again but only for the amount of sticks in the box, so apparently it’s accurate for around 20 sticks if u have a 20 stick box. I don’t understand how it’s not accurate after unless batt went flat, sales pitch I reckon 🤣. But yes you can re use it. As for the additional smiley just gonna dtd again encase! Have read body can attempt to re ovulate if it wasn’t successful the first time whether this is true or not I don’t know... google a blessing and a curse!

@BCM2021 maybe I read this about a 20 stick box then?! All seems a bit vague! Yeah it is a right money making scheme isn't it, but I have to say, I couldn't get my head round the cheapies lol

@teateaandcoffee I haven’t tried them, just bought the CB kit last month. Crazy how u spend most of your younger days trying not to get caught out( I did!) & now the window to make it happen is so small lol x

Hey everyone, hope you guys don't mind me jumping on here and joining in?

A little bit about me: I'm 32 and currently TTC baby number 2. My little boy will be turning 2 next month. I fell pregnant with him in my very first cycle of trying. Came off my pill in June 2018 and I'd conceived by July 2018! I'm on my third cycle of trying for baby number 2. I came off my pill back in September but stopped being careful in January. This is my first month using OPK's. I started with One Step strips but found it quite stressful trying to interpret the line so I bought Clear Blue OPK's (the pink one) and started using them alongside the strips. I got my solid smiley last Friday so I'm now roughly 5DPO, in the stressful TWW.

@BCM2021 yep been there myself as well, it's crazy how easy it is when you're young, I was 20. No Im DTD, doing all the right things and it just won't happen, I wouldn't have believed it if you'd told me that even 5 years ago!

I was out all weekend for a couple of weekends drinking (World Cup) and didn’t know I was pregnant as I’d had what I thought was my period! Turns out it was implantation bleeding. I was quite worried because me and partner had been out with friends multiple times, drinking all day - checked with midwife at my first appointment and she said these things happen but obviously don’t carry on! Safe to say I didn’t drink another drop!! Xx

@Confused678866 haha I think the midwives must have the same conversation a few times a day I'm trying to do all the recommended things at the moment, only one coffee a day, etc, which is very boring haha. I'm also drinking pomegranate juice

@teateaandcoffee Haha, yes I bet they do! Oh you’re definitely doing the right things.. I need to cut down on my caffeine, I just wish my toddler would understand I need sleep rather than relying on coffee 😂

@teateaandcoffee ahhh i get so nervous when i think about testing!
I might go for the Saturday you know, AF is due Tuesday, dont want to do it too early and get the dreaded BFN...but them again can i wait that long!!! Think i'll deffo have a wine tomorrow, might be our last one!!!

DTD again last night & will tonight thanks to the second lot of smileys, hoping I won’t get a third surge I will be at it every day at this rate!

4DPO and I'm symptom checking like mad! Every little twinge or achy boob in the morning 🤣 wouldn't have even implanted yet!

@LKB89 The TWW is hard isn’t it! Working from home makes it worse too as I have more time to think about things.. or overthink in my case 😂
My little boys nursery has just been closed for next week though due to a covid case so he’ll be at home all next week with me whilst I’m working 🥴 Looks like I won’t have too much time on my hands next week then which can only be a good thing!!

@Confused678866 it's brutal!!! That should certainly keep your mind of it this week, I'm also working from home, lots of time for head f*cking 🤣🤣

I'm driving myself absolutely crazy here, is anyone temping?
I'm am apparently 4DPO my statics were Sunday & Monday...yet I haven't exactly seen a big raise in temp? I had a slight dip CD16 and my temps gone up a little but nothing like other examples, I expected a big increase? I've already been this temp before ovulation? I've googled too much and now I'm panicking.....

@LKB89 It really is harder when working from home! My nearly 2 year old is currently running riot though, due a teams call with my team in 15 mins so not a lot of time to overthink at the moment (which I’m grateful of) even though I’ll look I’ve been dragged through a bush at the end of today thanks to my feral child 🥴😂

I can’t help with the temping, sorry. I’ve never done it. Hopefully these other ladies can give you some answers 🤞🏻 Xx

@LKB89 yeah! Dunno how many dpo I am coz of these extra smileys! Yeah I know crazy isn’t it every little thing as u say! Going to be a long week or so!! X

@LKB89 I did do temping before Xmas, my app let me put in a coverline to mark what is definite post ovulation temp. I'm not sure though, I never had a cycle where it didn't rise substantially sorry. Is there any random reason why your thermometer might be wrong? I'm not sure what that means really.

@BCM2021 you've got me thinking more about that double ovulation thing now, decided if I'm trying again next month I will definitely retest again after first static smiley. I had some ovulation pain a few days after static and ewcm and now I'm thinking I could have ovulated then, not the first static it picked up.

@teateaandcoffee I'm a bit worried tbh, every thing else like symptoms and the OPKS tell me I ovulated though but can't help thinking the worse.
The thermometer is new, and I use it orally. Only thing that I can think...is sometimes the times are way out, if I wake up a bit before my alarm I'll just take it then because I need to get up for a wee!!! So some days were 5amish, others 6am, some at my 6:30am alarm. Don't know if that has an affect? I might sack it off x

@LKB89 I'm not sure either, I know different waking times can affect it, as can a lot of things. How many cycles have you done with this thermometer? I switched thermometers at some point when I was trying last time, think it was when I started a new app, and I did find my average temp shifted on my new one, my coverline was significantly different, but my patterns stayed the same. I think overall my new thermometer was about .4 Deg celcius higher!
