Hi guys! I believe I ovulated today (CD14) after I got a static smiley on my OPK yesterday evening, this was after a flashy smiley in the morning! We DTD last night and now comes the start of the dreaded two week wait! Does any one fancy driving themselves crazy with symptom spotting and trying to to take a test too early with me? 🤣

Been a bit AWOL for a few days in a foul mood with AF arriving.

Tomorrow it says I should start the CB OPKS (day 7) first time using it! so fingers crossed for this new month for us all still TTC!
I also got the Poundland ones you recommended @Intrigued2020 and a shed load of cheap tests while I was there 🤣

@lkb89 - Ahh good! Yeah they are great because you don’t feel so bad wasting them! I’ve been in a really bad mood as well the past few days! My AF was so strange this month and it really annoyed me because I was then worrying that it was related to my past ectopic. I took a few tests over the past few days that were negative so I really hope that I am okay and my body isn’t messed up! I think tonight I’m going to start trying to DTD every other day if possible to have every chance 😂😂 I’m going to be knackered by the end of the month! Wishing you all the best! Keep me posted! My cycles are quite long so you will probably be ahead of me but I would love to hear if anything happens 🤗

@Intrigued2020 @LKB89 same. And finding out an old friend is pregnant with her second when her 1st is 10 months younger than mine!

Mine was a weird one too, came several days earlier than expected and was just brown and spotting for 2/3 days and day 4 the flood gates opened 🤣 I don't think it was anything untoward as I had a BFN the day before i came on!

Let's keep on going, we can do this!

I think it's a good idea to try every other day, the break in between will be welcome and you don't have the pressure of trying every night on the run for a bit! New tactics, I like it!

Omg @LKB89 - mine was exactly the same! It also didn’t last as long as normal! What our are body’s doing 😂😂 Let’s try the new tactics and see what happens 👌 It would be amazing if we could all get a BFP this month!

@Intrigued2020 @LKB89 yes this is our month (once AF is out the way 🤣)
I have actually done the opposite, was trying every other day but decided to switch it round to trying every night when the ovulation kit tells me I'm high and peak. You've got to try and keep it interesting, we were both definitely getting bored of every other night. Don't know what we'll do when we get bored of this routine haha

I caved today at 6dp5dt, got a BFN so serves me right!

@Sunbird24 oh I’ve been at it since then too lol, I’m 100 percent once I’ve got through these tests I’m not buying anymore until it’s actually time to take one, I’ve spent a fortune no control!

Just got this this morning completely blank BFNs earlier this week.
This would be my second baby... last time I got a BFP at 8dpo... this is 13dpo so if you've had BFNs all week don't completely rule yourself out (I had...)

I think I have been totally naive by the way, and I'm annoyed with myself for not knowing my body.

I've always always thought you count your AF from the start of ANY blood show. So even the 2/3 days of brown.

As I'm reading how to use the CB OPKs it says 'the day your period starts is the first day of full bleeding' so that got me thinking and googling and researching, in fact the spotting before your period is just old blood from the last one and not actually the start of your period???!!!! I'm 30 years old and never knew that.
So I'm WAY OFF with my ovulation date/tracking etc. I've just updated Flo and took off the days where it was light spotting on the 6 most recent AF's and I've gone from having 7-8 day long AFs on 25-30 days cycles to 5-6 day periods and 27-28.

I need putting down 🤣 hopefully this month I'll actually know my body and it will happen!

@LKB89 It is confusing! Glad you've got a better read on your cycles now though. I also get a few days of brown light spotting pre-AF and then count the first day of proper red bleeding as CD1.

I'm actually in the spotting stage now at 14dpo so AF is imminent alas, so I'm out this month Next cycle will be my 6th after my miscarriage so if still no luck then I'll talk to the doctor about having fertility investigations, as I'm a couple of weeks off turning 38. @Kally9, you mentioned receiving test results recently, did you find a scale to measure your results against?

7dp5dt - can anyone see something or am I going mad?

@paperfleur I had a little dig around online but there's not much other than greater than 30 confirms ovulation. I'm still waiting for AF (due today) and haven't tested since BFN at 12dpo but fairly certain I'll get it tomorrow as the full moon wanes (I know that sounds a bit mad but happens all the time to me - it's like a build up and release!).

@Kally9 when I was doing my day 21 test the clinic told me anything over 35 was good to go, if it was 30-34 they’d do an ultrasound to double check.

Did you call your clinic? Fingers crossed for you!
