Chemical Pregnancy and ovulating straight after?

Toastedsesame · 06/02/2021 13:20

I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle, bled on my usual AF day but had 4 positive tests beforehand. Now on cd7, bleeding stopped on cd4 but feeling verrrry ovulation-y! Ewcm, bloating and twinges in my left ovary.
My temp is high-ish 36.60 but I don't have any opks in the house.

Has anyone experienced ovulation straight after CP?

Worth noting I have also taken soy days 2-6 this cycle, as I did last cycle to bring my ovulation forward.

Just bumping 🤦🏼‍♀️

I got some OPK's. So it's obviously not positive but seems high for so early in the cycle.

Hi OP, did you get any positive OPKs since?

I'm tracking my ovulation after a chemical too and my LH levels have been fairly low, no positives yet and I'm on CD15. The apps I use are predicting my peak in 2 days so I'll keep testing until then but I think my levels are dropping, or at least they're very up and down. So unsure if I'll ovulate this cycle, it's late or I already have and didn't catch it.

Hi @choccrumpet sorry to hear of your chemical. Its not a nice thing to go through.

Tbh my cycle is all over the place. I'm on cd14 and have been taking two opks a day, sometimes one is nearly positive like the one above and the next one will be blank... its happened 4/5 times. I'm not sure what to make of it. My temp has come down now but past 3 days has been rising so don't think I've ovulated yet (last cycle it was cd18)

I think this sort of thing is to be expected after a chemical tbh, but its frustrating right? Do you temp?

@Toastedsesame no it's not, I'm sorry you went through that too. This was my third so it's harder/easier at the same time, quite confusing to go through again.

I don't temp and the only reason I'm using OPKs this cycle is so I get an idea of my ovulation day and start taking aspirin. I stopped tracking as I found it difficult mentally, constantly being reminded of what we're trying to achieve so am hoping this is a one off cycle and we will be lucky soon.

I've only had 2 darkish lines but they weren't anything as dark as I've gotten before so I think I'm likely to ovulate within the next few days. But the constant fluctuation is very confusing. It sounds like you're experiencing something very similar. Let's hope it will happen in the next few days! We're still trying as normal and not waiting to get a peak or anything so one way or another we'll definitely know by the end of my cycle whether it was successful or not.

Either way it's nice to know someone else is experiencing something similar! I will let you know what happens during the next few days, hopefully it's just a bit late for both of us x

Toastedsesame · 13/02/2021 22:20

@choccrumpet ah of course, understandable. I can absolutely see why people find tracking overwhelming.

Do you get any other signs of ovulation like pain, spotting?

Usually as soon as I've ovulated I get sore boobs, light spotting and a pain on one side. Don't have any of those as yet so I think I am still waiting for it.

Yes please keep me updated! Good luck to you.

@Toastedsesame this morning my OPK looked almost positive so am hoping it's going to happen soon!

This is a little tmi but I get quite watery cm, especially first thing in the morning which I have been experiencing and mild cramping which I woke up to this morning as well. Wondering if it could have happened in the middle of the night or is still to come yet.

Sounds like you haven't missed it at least! Hopefully it's only around the corner now. Seems like we're both a bit late although this is still within my normal ovulation time, more on the later side than earlier.

Toastedsesame · 14/02/2021 10:01

@choccrumpet oh that's good! They do say you ovulate 12-48h after a positive OPK but in my experience it's straight after.

I've got really sore left side this morning and very bloated. Feeling it might be today.

@choccrumpet so these are my OPKs from today, 1pm and 4pm 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@Toastedsesame these are mine from today, also feeling 🤦🏼‍♀️ honestly no idea what's going on! My morning ones seem to be strongest and then fading off. Felt a bit off and slightly crampy today.

My app has marked my peak as yesterday/today so maybe the LH surge wasn't very high / wasn't detected/ or I missed it 🤷🏼‍♀️ interested to see what tomorrow's like. I may stop testing after tomorrow, will see what happens!

@choccrumpet Thats what I'm finding, earlier is darker... god knows. Did you notice any other signs of ovulation?

I've had left sided cramping pain and bloating allll day, plus EWCM. Literally would have put money on ovulating today but the opks are saying no. Bizarre.

choccrumpet · 14/02/2021 21:44

@Toastedsesame OPKs aren't 100% reliable so I think best to go by your own body & symptoms and they sound positive 🤗

I haven't had any other symptoms, very mild cramping and feeling a bit off. I didn't see any obvious EWCM last month and obviously got pregnant and it's been the same this month too but other signs were there. So will see what tomorrow's is like and take it from there.

Perhaps it is the chemical messing up hormones a little. Think I've done all I can so now we wait 😅

Toastedsesame · 15/02/2021 11:50

@choccrumpet I finally got this opk today, cd16. I had so much left sided pain yesterday and today my boobs are a bit tender so I think I'm ovulating at last.

We managed to DTD last night and the previous day so hoping that's enough. 🤞

@Toastedsesame brilliant that's great news!

No update with me, OPKs are still all over the place but I'm not worried. Had a few second sharp cramps / twinges this morning so I'll just have to wait and see if anything happened at the end of the month! My CM has reduced now so if I did ovulate I think it's just about happened.

Fingers crossed our 2ww goes by quickly with some good news on the other side 🤞🏼

Toastedsesame · 15/02/2021 20:22

@choccrumpet Hard not to be impatient when you just want to crack on with ttc isn't it.

I got my peak opk this afternoon and feel rough so I'm almost certain I've ovulated now. See if I get a temp rise tomorrow.

Good luck, let me know how you get on!

choccrumpet · 15/02/2021 21:18

@Toastedsesame I've got no patience, the past 6 months have been testing me! Just gotta believe that it'll happen at the right time eventually.

That's great, fingers crossed it's happened! I've stopped testing, I'm not sure if I was testing right this cycle as it was so all over the place but it's fine and I'm not going to worry about it. I've still got mild on and off cramps so my guess is if it happened it was either yesterday or today.

You too, hoping the 2 weeks will go by quickly!

choccrumpet · 26/02/2021 17:29

@Toastedsesame how have you been getting on?

I didn't end up seeing any peaks or majorly high OPKs but did have more fertile CM around CD18 so no idea what happened with ovulation this cycle.

I've got no idea how many DPO I am but couldn't resist and did test a few times. I got second very very faint lines on multiple tests BUT I couldn't tell if they were grey or pink so am putting it down to evaporation lines for now and am trying not to get my hopes up (although how many times can I keep getting an evap line 🙄). My period is due tomorrow so that will be my first milestone to pass. Not getting my hopes up before then. No major symptoms that stand out so am putting whatever I'm feeling down to PMS. I've been here before so know better than to get hopeful just yet.
