Pregnancy tests not get any darker 4 days after period due

Hi all

I'm a bit worried, I took a pregnancy test 4 days ago when I was due my period, and got 2 faint but very noticable positives on FRER, and also a clear blue digital that said pregnant 1-2.

But I took 2 pregnancy tests yesterday and they came back very faint, and I took one this morning with fmu and still very faint. I'm not sure what's going on, as with my previous pregnancy they weren't faint at all from one day after period due, and they got much darker after too.

I've attached the photos of the 2 tests I took yesterday, and the one at the bottom I took this morning.
I did buy clear blue digi two pack and both of them shown error message so annoyed.
Has this happened to anyone else ? Any advice?

Here are the tests

They do look very faint if you are 4 days late for your period. But I don’t know the sensitivity of those tests.

Also it could depend on when you actually ovulated. If you actually ovulated later than usual then you might not be late yet, and so tests wouldn’t get darker yet.

If you want to track line progression with tests it’s always best to use the same brand of test. Frer are usually pretty good at seeing clear progression if you use one every 2/3 days.

Agree with the above. You could have ovulated a bit later than expected so you may still be due AF. But definitely, if you want to see line profession use FRER’s. Perhaps order some on Amazon or pop out to a chemist today if you can and pick up a few for the next few days?

@Spoonofnutella Hey, thank you. I have blood tests tomorrow and will find out tomorrow if the levels are rising or not! I hope they are!.. I took a clear blue digi yesterday which is still saying 1-2 weeks :( but I can only hope x

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hope you get some answers soon. The waiting is torture isnt it. How many weeks would you expect the test to say now? Have you taken another frer to see if the line has got darker? X

Could it just be the brand isn't as sensitive as Clear Blue? I would take another Clear Blue. It's awful isn't it? Our grandmothers never had this technology at their fingertips. I'm not sure what's better.
