Hello!
I’m a mummy to 2 girls ttc our 3rd rainbow baby after a loss last month. I’m officially 4dpo is anyone else in their 2 week wait who can join me?
Might be nice to get to know some other mummies to be to help ease the stress 🥰❤️

Talking about feeling pressure to fall soon...is anyone worried about Covid? I’m a teacher so the unions are hoping we will get access to the vaccine soon but I don’t want to have it incase it affects my chances of having a baby! It would make life so much easier if I fell this month so that there were no questions asked when the time arrived for us teachers! Hubby has also said he won’t have it until after we’ve had another bubs so just feels like we are constantly waiting 😔

dippyegg32 · 07/02/2021 19:23

Yes I'm a teacher @KazMumTo2 and the thought has crossed my mind too but I don't think I'll get a bfp this month so will take the vaccine if/when it's offered

KazMumTo2 · 07/02/2021 19:33

@dippyegg32 sounds awful but I really hope they offer it to teachers around Easter...buys us some more time! Where abouts in your cycle are u at the moment? X

dippyegg32 · 07/02/2021 20:18

Yes I totally get what you mean! I'm day 16, 3dpo, af is due on 16th. What about you?

sickofthisyear · 07/02/2021 20:59

I work in healthcare and had the vaccine in Jan despite knowing we would TTC . The RCOG guidelines say it shouldn't pose a risk but manufacturer can't say it's 'safe' as it hasn't been trialled.
From what I've heard and seen about the tragic cases of women in late pregnancy catching COVID I wouldn't risk it. Your GP would be able to talk you through the risks/benefits though to help you made a decision.
For myself I didn't want the added anxiety of catching covid during a pregnancy (and that's even though I had covid in April last yr) 🤦🏼‍♀️

WillowRose1411 · 07/02/2021 21:16

I’m not a teacher but I have 2 jobs working with special needs children, 1 of them is in a school.
I haven’t really thought about the vaccine and don’t really know enough about it in regards to ttc?
I’m sorry if this is a silly question but where in the world are you all? I just assumed you were all in the UK same as me but not 100% if Mumsnet is accessible from all over xx

sickofthisyear · 07/02/2021 21:30

I'm in UK

Inthetww · 07/02/2021 21:38

Is it ok for me to join the conversation?
I had the vaccination Friday which was the day we BD 😬
I'm in the TWW and already obsessing! Really want it to be our month.
I had a heterotopic pregnancy last year plus a MC. Absolutely devastating 😢
The wait seems to drag more and more each month.
Hope you all have BFP's 🥰

Inthetww · 07/02/2021 21:39

P s... I'm UK and also work in a special school!

WillowRose1411 · 07/02/2021 22:06

@Inthetww I wasn’t sure what a heterotopic pregnancy was and have just goodled it I’m so sorry you went through that. When is af due and when will you test? Do you have any children already?

I guess most of us are most likely UK then. Fingers crossed this is our month lovely 🤞🏼

@Inthetww meant to say welcome! 😊

@dippyegg32 I’m on cd30 and 8dpo (didn’t realise until this cycle that my ovulation was as late as cd21 when I got a static smiley in an OPK) ... just hoping AF doesn’t show up before next weekend and then I’ll test again! May test on Thursday (12dpo) and again on Saturday (14dpo) if AF doesn’t show!!! Fingers crossed!!
I’m in the UK too 😌

Cakelaur · 07/02/2021 22:33

Chart looks good @WillowRose1411 what's it's moved your ov day to?

@Inthetww I'm so sorry about your losses. I also had to google. Just awful babe.

I'm UK, London.
5dpo today and usually have a 10 day LP, so I'm hoping to hold out until the weekend but we all know that's unlikely! 😂

WillowRose1411 · 07/02/2021 22:38

@KazMumTo2 I’m sorry I didn’t see your messages it skips to the last message and I missed it! 8dpo is still so early to test implantation happens on average around 9dpo and then the hcg needs to build up in your urine enough for a positive so don’t lose hope! Test again in a few days. With my last 2 pregnancies I tested from about 11 or 12dp but have never had a positive before 14dpo. Good luck!

I have a lot of twinges and cramping going on, quite sharp to one side sometimes. And yesterday I had a throbbing sensation as if my uterus was throbbing! And really quite wet down there! I’m only 6dpo!

@Cakelaur moved it to cd17

I’m Bristol UK xx
A Valentine’s Day BFP would be lovely wouldn’t it!

Anyone else in 2ww??

Inthetww · 07/02/2021 22:43

@WillowRose1411 I do have a son who is 10 this year, I'm 35 so worried my time is ending with being able to conceive.
It was the worst thing I have been through, then MC in June too.
It must be our time soon, surely!
I'm only 2DPO.
Have you been offered a vaccination and will you take it??
@Cakelaur when do you think you'll cave??
I'm obsessed with POAS its a little worrying 😄
I need to calm down. Not sure i can even blame it on last years losses. I think I'm just too excited to see the extra line!

WillowRose1411 · 07/02/2021 22:50

Definitely not ending you’ve got years yet. Stay positive and it will happen!
Haven’t been offered a vaccine but I suppose I’ll take it when I am yes. X

Its so difficult to know what to do for the best.
I'm really hoping to see some success stories from you lovely ladies.
Will be a real boost to hear of some positive results.
The TWW is the worst!

girlmummy25 · 08/02/2021 09:41

I caved and done a test this morning, im 9dpo - BFN! Not even a hint of a line.
I could be too early but i only make it to 12dpo before AF comes. Will try again tomorrow and if still BFN i reckon im out. Argh.
Im 28 and had my DD at 26 - she took 8 months. Had a MMC at 11 weeks and a chemical before her.
Fingers crossed for you all

Applecrumble24 · 08/02/2021 10:09

I'm also 9dpo according to opk but I don't really know because I haven't had af after mmc surgery (21 jan) and pregnancy tests are still positive. Arghh why did I do this to myself!
I know I should have waited but i just need to stop feeling so empty inside

Inthetww · 08/02/2021 10:26

@Applecrumble24 it might be the hcg still in your system after the surgery? I had that with both of mine last year, maybe get the GP to do a blood test to see?
@girlmummy25 might be early still to show.
Its so hard to wait and test.
Fingers crossed 🤞 🙏

Applecrumble24 · 08/02/2021 10:36

@Inthetww yes it is still residual hcg as it's never gone negative. IC have faded but cb digital says pregnant 1-2. I will get bloods in a week if no change 🙄

WillowRose1411 · 08/02/2021 10:46

@girlmummy25 don’t lose hope there’s still a chance, I know the wait is hard but wait a few days before testing again.

@Applecrumble24 do you temp? Just interested to see what your chart looks like if you do. Fingers crossed for you and hopefully someone- if not most/ all- get their BFP sometime over the next week 🤞🏼

OP posts:
Applecrumble24 · 08/02/2021 10:54

@WillowRose1411 no I don't temp, wish I did now then I might have a bit of an idea what's going on!

@girlmummy25 you are still very early 🤞
