I've never posted on here before so I don't know if I'm in the right place or if anyone will have any experience of this. My partner and I found out in December that although there was a pregnancy sac there was no fetal pole growing, it's been absolutely horrific as the misoprostol tablets didn't work for a week then there were other complications which are too horrible to think about and resulted in me having a d&c which incidentally I'd begged for 3 weeks before. The d&c was three weeks ago today and as instructed I took the pregnancy test given to me and it was positive. BUT 3 days ago I used a ovulation kit which came pack positive too. After I did that I was so relieved cos I thought it was body getting back to normal and we could start trying again. I only did the pregnancy test as a formality this morning expecting it to be negative with the ovulation stick being positive. Has anyone else had this? I know it can mean that there is still pregnancy tissue left in the womb but we DTD a couple of times not thinking I could get pregnant yet. I'm so confused!

This happened to me , 6 weeks later I was still getting positive pregnancy tests . I had to go for weekly blood tests to check my pregnancy hormones were coming down and they were , just very slowly.
Eventually my period arrived and the levels dropped away completely. I would speak to your doctor and ask for a blood test over a few days to see if your levels are increasing Flowers

I'm so sorry for your loss @1234Rawa1234 and everything you went through. 💔
Ovulation tests can pick up the pregnancy hormone, so after a miscarriage, as long as your pregnancy tests are positive, your ovulation test results will be unreliable.
I wish you all the best, I hope you find strength and comfort and time to heal physically and emotionally.

Thank you both. I re read my message after I posted it and I'm surprised you could even follow it! I'll phone the EPU tomorrow and see what they say about having a blood test. Absolutely drained, it's been 7 weeks now since we found out the pregnancy wasn't progressing, I just want to put the whole experience behind me and honestly thought when I saw the smiley face on the opk it was.
