Success stories after Chemical Pregnancy

Hi,

So two cycles ago I started clomid, on my first cycle I got a few faint pregnancy tests but they then disappeared and AF arrived so I presume this was a chemical pregnancy.

Last cycle was all over the place, not sure when ovulated!

This cycle I got a peak on CD14 so all normal
again, I am now in the TWW.

Did anyone get pregnant again soon after a Chemical? Starting to feel really disheartened with the whole thing!

Tia Smile

@sneakpeek1414 hi there! I fell pregnant on my first round on Clomid, but unfortunately miscarried at 7 weeks. It was around 6 weeks until I had my next period, started Clomid cycle 2 and I have another BFP. I’m nervous because of the miscarriage but hopeful that this pregnancy is successful! So, keep your hopes up .. it could definitely work again for you Smile

@HT1507 sorry to hear about your first miscarriage 😔

Congratulations on this BFP though I think that's really promising and shows it can happen.

I've heard people are a lot more fertile after miscarriages no matter how early so have everything crossed 🤞🏽

Hoping the next few months are good to you Smile

@sneakpeek1414 thank you! Hopefully this TWW doesn’t drag too much for you .. it can seem like forever can’t it. Wishing you loads of luck with getting a BFP! Just try to stay positive, and you will find support on here if you need it.

I had 3 chemicals and eventually 2 months after the last one I fell pregnant. Currently just over 15 weeks 🙂 Dr said it's a good sign (even though it might not feel like it at the time) that your body can get pregnant

sneakpeek1414 · 31/01/2021 18:54

@Alicespring oh gosh 3 chemicals! Don't know whether I could cope with that 😔

Fantastic that you're now well on your way with this pregnancy though congratulations!

I wonder why they happen 🤔

@sneakpeek1414

Have you had your ferritin levels checked?
I got this BFP the first month my levels were normal, could just be a coincidence but apparently it can have some impact on your fertility!

Chemical pregnancy June 2020, BFP September 2020.. 25 weeks pregnant today with my little boy kicking inside me as a type. Stay positive ♥️

How did you get clomid? Did your GP prescribe it? I had an early miscarriage and a chemical last year. Haven't spoken to my GP yet.

EllyNC · 31/01/2021 21:29

Hey, I fell pregnant with my DS 2 months after a chemical and he’s a very lively 1.5yo now! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 For you!

HT1507 · 01/02/2021 06:22

@bitheby I got Clomid via a fertility specialist .. first step would be speaking to your GP and getting a referral for fertility testing. Clomid is usually prescribed for problems with ovulation, a lot of time for women with PCOS which is what I have. Clomid isn’t right for everyone .. it would depend on your individual situation.

sneakpeek1414 · 01/02/2021 07:19

Some good stories here thanks!

@bitheby I got prescribed Clomid after being referred to a fertility specialist by my GP. I have a 2yo DS and we have been trying for DC2 for 18 months with no success 😔

I am trying to look at the chemical as a positive thing in that I can still get pregnant!
