Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone had been in this situation or had any advice. I am now 4 days late with AF and have had bad cramps for the past 6 days including really bad pain to the left of my pelvic area last night. Also feeling nauseous and sick a lot but BFN (did 3rd test this morning and was a CB digital). I'm starting to worry something might be wrong. The very hopeful side of me was clinging on to the possibility of it being implantation cramps but I feel like it's been going on too long for that now and am worrying it could be something bad. Dare I say eptopic (as they show as negative early on) or pelvic inflammatory disease (which I've had before over 10 years ago).

Was thinking give it the weekend and if still no AF test Monday morning and call doctors then if still negative... any thoughts? I will only be a week late then with AF and don't want to waste their time with everything going on but really am in quite a lot of pain and worrying what could be wrong. Sorry for long post but any advice or previous experience would be great. Thanks you lovely lot xx

Bump - someone must have had experience of this before? Still cramps similar to period pain, some more severe to the left side of my pelvic area but seems generally less painful now. It's almost like I've had a monthly without a bleed?? Very confused and a bit worried about what could be going on

Honestly as soon as you say “severe pain” I immediately think you need medical attention. Hope you get answers soon.

@DawnWW have you ever had any surgery such as D&C or caesarean? There's something called Asherman's Syndrome that can develop as a result of scar tissue. Basically you are having a period but the scar tissue won't let the blood be released. It is extremely rare and as I say would only develop after surgery of some sort so I don't want to worry you but that's the only thing I could think it might be. Good luck x

No previous surgery - only gall bladder last year so unconnected. Thanks both for your thoughts and feedback. The pain isn't as bad today thankfully, if it gets worse I'll maybe call into the drop in centre over the weekend if it can't wait until doctors open on Monday. Just so odd, especially as I'm getting specific area pain to the left as well x

Hi DawnWW. I know this post is a few months old and I'm so sorry to hear you went through this!
I'm currently experiencing the same as what you describe and wondering if you got any answers. I'm quite anxious waiting for my appointment and trying to stay away from general 'google'!
